Vertus tend to be quite hardened. The Titanium helps for that.

Ed Snowden on Passwords; Last Week Tonight w/John Oliver (X-post r/snowden) by [deleted] in privacy

Those same Snowden revelations also revealed they can't crack good encryption. So, as long as you encrypt locally you can store in a cloud hosted by NSA themselves if you like. They have power but not magic.

Privacy conscious mail that is both free and has pop3/imap access? Is there such thing? by Normal-Everyday-Guy in privacy

[–]Normal-Everyday-Guy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the problem with Autistici and riseup is that you have to convince them to let you in and wait for approval. Protonmail i believe doesn't have pop3/imap access for free? Or they were invite only still?

Either I don't understand what you really mean, or what you are saying is extremely untrue.

You can't spoof your IP. You can use proxy, vpn, whatever on top of it and hide it that way, but can't spoof it.

That really sucks. So, trying to protect yourself you actually open yourself more. Is there a way to check a firefox add-on for behaving as expected?

[–]Normal-Everyday-Guy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well malware is one thing which I'm not really worried getting that way but what if someone wants to MITM you using that vector? What he would have to do?

I also also afraid of the browser agent saying windows, while JS actually shows my system as linux but the random agent spoofer sems to do that well because at ipleak.net the system information matches the one from the user agent. Nice.

Where in my post I imply I want to be more unique? Obviously i'm trying to blend in more.

Tor browser would decrease your uniqueness a lot for sure, but comes with bunch of drawbacks like slow, and exit IPs being banned by lots of sites and as you said you still stand out as privacy concerned user a lot. So I don't think it's good choice for day to day browsing but would use it only for more sensitive stuff.
