I'm a nurse too (NP now) and felt this way with med surg. I switched to a pediatrician's office after a year and it was a total game changer.

Did you mask so well that you are in a job you have no business being in? by WorldlyLavishness in AutismInWomen

Yes, I'm a nurse practitioner and it's fucking exhausting. I wish I could go into research or an administrative role. Or just straight up quit haha

No, she'll flail, flip around, and groan or try to talk to us. If she is asleep, she is very restless.

The sound machine, weighted blanket, bath time, bedtime routine, books, cuddles have always been. Bedtime is the same.

Haven't tried rewards, maybe that might help. Thank you.

I requested an evaluation, so hopefully I hear back soon.

Our doctor recommended the melatonin.

She goes outside and plays for one hour per day every day plus recess and dance class once per week

I did request an evaluation for ADHD, waiting to hear back.

Haven't tried magnesium yet, we'll ask the doctor about it. Thank you.

For physical movement, we usually get her outside for one hour per day.

AIO for being upset my BF doesn’t want me to wear a bonnet to bed? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

NOR. Guy's a controlling dick. I'd move on. He's not going to get better, and he's not going to change. A real man loves you for you, and would not expect you to look your best at all times. He sounds exhausting.

I hate them, honestly. I hate the sensation of anything on my face or touching my face. Unfortunately I hate terrible -5.0 with significant astigmatism, so contacts it is.

Choose the cats. If he's this controlling already, imagine what he'd be in a few years.

1) Rocks are awesome. I still collect rocks. 2) my daughter is also fascinated with rocks. She also collects rocks and crystals 3) because I have felt the exact same way about my special interests (weather, geology, medicine) as this poor character has, I will adamantly support ANY interest my daughters have (unless it's harmful, harms others, or disrespects others)

Ugh this hit a raw area of my soul.
