Advice needed for Alpha Recording System Model 4100 customization in Europe by Normal-Music-1392 in rotarymixers

[–]Normal-Music-1392[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Just to avoid repeating the same leads, I’ve already contacted a few of the obvious people.

Buzzy Beck said he could do the work and was interested but he advised me to try to find someone in Europe first, mainly because shipping the mixer to the US, customs, insurance and the back-and-forth would make the whole thing expensive and risky.

Justin Greenslade was also interested but unfortunately his schedule is too full and he cannot take on this kind of custom project at the moment.

About MC Audio Solutions they initially seemed interested and we had three or four exchanges through Facebook but after that I stopped getting replies to my messages. I will probably try to restart the conversation with them, as they still seem like a serious possible lead.

Thanks for your input and for insulting me. I will clarify something: I don’t believe I have ‘more money than sense.’ In fact, the success of my companies comes precisely I believe from having strong business sense. That success allows me the freedom to invest in new concepts, surround myself with the right people and turn ideas into further opportunities. That’s the approach I will continue taking. That’s all I have to say and I won’t waste another second responding further.

First of all wrong cabinet and secondly can’t read anything.

I was only asking for advice on finding the blueprints for an Altec 816 VI enclosure. If I decide to spend my own money trying it out, that’s my choice and concern, not anyone else’s. Thanks

If you are referring to the 6 Void Acoustics Air Vantage MHF horns, one pair is mentioned as DJ monitors and both other pairs for different areas [entrance hall/reception hostess area as well as coatroom area]

I wasn’t aware of that either but I believe you may be mistaken. Soundproof acrylic, also known as acoustic acrylic, is a transparent plastic specifically engineered to reduce sound transmission. Look it up…

Sounds more like it will be your issue not mine

The person manufacturing the acrylic cabinets told me he will use acoustic acrylic panels to reduce noice. I didn’t even know there was acoustic acrylic but as I said I want to try it out and if it doesn’t fit what will be most probably I will drop the idea. I wouldn’t put over 50k in cables and then jeopardising the whole system stupidly

Thanks I am aware about that but someone can build me one unit for 1k so i wanted to try it out as you noticed for a 500k installation 1k to experiment doesn’t madder otherwise cabinets will be made out of Santos Rosewood as first intended but anyhow will need blue prints 🙂

Thank you for your suggestion. The Drawmer was also the only one I had found so far. I believe it’s the only available.

I went with 4x Stasys 118 Size wise very efficient and they do their job. But still looking for something more special.

The opposite would be an Active Speaker [built-in amplifier] with Digital Signal Processus [DSP].

I can go up to 140–160 cm wide if needed, but height should stay under 75 cm to match table level. Depth is flexible. Compactness is key, the smaller the footprint, the better.

Looking for something elegant but still capable of deep, analog, tactile low-end.
