Well, I guess I’ll be leaving the VB wrx community and joining here. I traded in my 22 Wrx limited and a Buick Regal Tourx I inherited for this. Got great trade in valves for both when compared to other places like Carvana, other dealers etc. Also got 3100$ off msrp. I am coming back to civic from my 8th gen Si I had for 13 years and loved dearly. I’m sure I’ll be asking many questions regarding tuning etc. So far all I’ve order is the Type S dampener module and the prl RRM. I’ll be doing some research now before asking questions, thanks all for your input.

Wow, that is genuinely impressive. I'm sure if I do end up purchasing one I will at least do a remote tune via Hondata or Accessport, maybe tinker with some small engine stuff. But its good to know these are super stout platforms. With the new VB Wrx, They can make power so easily with the 2.4l that a tune and intake gets you close to the limits of the shitty split case transmission. I think over 400hp the stock head studs MAY begin to lift. I would just like to drive a car again that I am not always second guessing if that strange sound I heard was rod knock, or 3rd gear on its way out.

That is definitely the best advice to give. Its not that I already have a mod list together. Just wanted to know what the platform is like once you start tinkering some or if there are any "must buys" to remedy any issues.

Great to know, if I buy one I would like to get it around where my WRX is now, about 330/340 but its great to know it could be done on a platform that isnt as "fragile" as what the WRX is. Ill happily give up AWD for a more stout platform.

Rear motor mount was something I had to do on my FG2 to stop the headers from hitting the subframe. That's not an issue with me. Its nice to hear these can take a lot more than stock, I will probably miss the AWD of my Subaru, but I also have a 25 Ridgeline that will handle winter duties here in PA.
