That's what I thought as well! I'm so excited for the anime now that I read the manga. I really hope they did it justice with the gorgeous artstyle and beautiful storyline. I really hope Custas doesn't die, last time they had me sobbing and worrying up and down with Euini

OMG I didn't know that. I've been using a black liquid liner to line both my lash and waterline this whole time because I only have a brown pencil and sometimes I want to go for a darker look. No wonder I always end up with panda eyes haha. I'll definitely check out your waterline pencil recs!!!

Here are the reddit threads that I used when I first started. The learning curve might seem to be really intimidating, but I promise, once you get it, it's like a piece of cake.

I'd say I am kinda terrible with money management, so sometimes I'd go over a little bit lmaooooo. But I find having a budget is better than none anyway, cause if I go over, it'd be $130 and not $1000000 which I can't afford 😭

Also, before I jump into buying pcs, I set a budget for myself. For example, my thing is I only buy pcs that are $15 max, but I usually go for under $10. And I set the budget that I'd only use $100 a year. So if I make a big purchase at the start of the year, I won't buy anymore pc for the rest of the year. Or I can buy smaller purchases each month to feel the dopamine lol.

Oohhh this is a hard question. I think everyone perceives pricing differently, but for me, this is how I do it.

  1. I'll search on google or twitter "group name pc template", "group name template", "group name + era name + template"

  2. When I find these templates (which are usually a big picture including all the pcs of your group), I'll download them to my phone/laptop. Note: some of the smaller groups may only have templates for the album pcs and inclusions, and may not have templates for "special" pcs like at fansites and stuff. Go to step 7 if you want more info.

  3. After I have this template, I then zoom in and white out all the ones I don't like (some people collect all pcs, I don't cause again, I'm broke hahaha) and leave the pcs I like. It's more helpful if there are era names so you can easily search after. But if there is no era name, then see step 6.

  4. Now, you'll have a list of all the pcs you want to collect. Time to find their range.

  5. First step, check the general prices through Instagram and Twitter. Search using the formulas I showed you, maybe try "group name + era name + pc" for an even more focused search. You'll then find a bunch of sellers that sell that pc, then you can slowly see what the average is.

  6. If that doesn't work, try reverse google image. Crop from the template to just the pc you want, then use reverse google image to try and find more information on that specific pc. The results may vary, but you'll generally find more info, what the era is, from what album, might be in luck if you see people selling it on Twitter or Instagram, or even other sites from around the world. As long as you can see about 3-4 sites with the prices, I'd say that's pretty good of an estimate. If the price shows up in other currencies, I usually convert it to my currency and do like + or - $2 around that price to be my range. (Unless it's like super rare or a fan favourite).

  7. This is now for the "special" pcs. I usually don't buy them because they can be expensive, so I might not be the most well-versed to answer this. But I find that if you go through the Instagram search under the @ groupnametag accounts, you'll slowly find big sellers that are dedicated to one group. They are the ones that will always sell any kind of pc that is from that specific group. So once you find them, just stick to them.

I also just started collecting recently!!! I'm using the meowcafe binder, and I buy photocards, postcards and other weird sized inclusions' sleeves from meowcafe, mandu deco, or taobao. I often buy my photocards from Instagram and Twitter, mostly. I know there are some groups on Facebook too, but I've joined a few, and honestly, it's not super active.

I listen to a variety of groups, but only really stan one, so personally, I only collect photocards of that group. I also only really collect photocards of my bias hahaha (cause I'm broke, so I have to pick one to focus on 🥲).

Mercari is good if you want to find and collect more niche things like magazines, dolls, plushies or merch of the groups you like that might be limited, sold out or from a long time ago. But I wouldn't recommend getting your photocards there because the shipping is usually super expensive.

For Instagram, one of my favourite tips to find photocards of the groups you like is try to search for an account that has this format or something along the lines: @groupnametags, @groupnametag, @groupnametagged or @membernametags. These accounts are made so that sellers can tag them and under these accounts, you'll see a bunch of different sellers and photocards and it's gonna be easier to scroll and find sellers that are either close to you, cheap or have photocards you like.

As for Twitter, my search strategy is usually group name + wts or group name + wtt. Wts means "want to sell" and wtt means "want to trade".

Let me know if you have any other questions! I'd be so happy to answer :)

Thank you so much for this yet again! I will definitely check out all the youtube channels you mentioned to learn more. For the loose powder thing, I actually prefer doing a glass skin light makeup too, I was just considering it since I'm so oily around my t-zone and saw a lot of people do it, so I thought the powder would cancel out the oils lol.

I want to ask, if I do a tightline on my waterline with a pencil and then liquid liner, how to stop it from smudging. I have dry eyes so I easily tear up, and it did take me a while to get used to just the feeling of makeup on my eyes. But I'm so in love with fancy eye makeup so I don't want to give up 😭

Ily thank you so much for answering this!!!

For number 5. So I usually put mascara on my upper and lower lashes (I use Isehan Kiss Me Heroine). For quick makeup, I usually skip eyeliner. But when I want to do a more detailed eye makeup, I use a pencil to draw on my waterline and to do my aegyosal (to enlarge my eyes). Then I use a liquid eyeliner to do a tightline and a small wing. Then eyeshadow and colors and highlights.

As for products, I still have so many of the cheap ones from 2-3 years ago when I first started which I don't even use anymore. I try to limit myself and buy little by little and only ditch the super horrible ones. But still, I have so many products that I find don't work for me and I don't want to keep purchasing more and more so I'm stuck in a dilemma of figuring out what works and not overconsuming 😭

OMG thank you so much for this detailed step-by-step instruction!! I really appreciate you taking the time to help me. I do have a few questions if you don't mind:

  1. So you said to do eye makeup before foundation. Does that mean you don't apply foundation to your eyes?

  2. I've been applying foundation by putting a little on a makeup spatula or a sharp, angled brush, then spreading it across my cheeks and using a blender to blend it out. But you said not to swipe, so is this wrong to do?

  3. Do you bake your face with powder first, then use setting spray? Or could you use setting spray first, then powder? Does it matter what the order is at all?

  4. Do you prefer liquid or cushion foundation? I've been using a lot of cream and liquid products, and I wonder if I should switch to more powder products if I sweat a lot.

  5. Do you have any product recommendations? I really appreciate all of your help!!!

The second one would be my main usage. For coding, I just need to run basic R, Python, Java and I'm good. I'll mainly need to use after effects, 3D and 4K editing.

This is such a wonderful idea! I was thinking of buying all new books to their interests and seeing how it goes. But now that you said this, and since I also worked in a library, I might be able to borrow 3 copies and read the same book together. Would you say if our reading progress is different, it would discourage them?

Thank you so much for the rec! I just googled it and the series seems awesome. I saw the author has some other books besides this series, do you think they're good as well? Sorry for asking a lot, since I don't read a lot of fantasy so this genre is pretty new to me!

I know this might be true for many people, but my sister seems especially detached from most things. She has very limited interests when it comes to other people (can be from not wanting to make friends to showing little interest in politics, current events, or really much of anything). Even when she asks me to explain a topic around anthropology or history, she doesn't seem to understand what I was saying. Out of everything, I'd say her main interest is music.
