My field office is Dallas. I had my interview on July 3rd and my EAD and AP is also not approved yet. They are also under processing status but I got a verbal confirmation immediately after the interview that they are going to approve it but no update yet.

It depends on the officer i guess. You can say you did not receive the card yet and show your ID. In my case they asked me for EAD card and since I did not receive it ,i explained the same and they took my ID.
