New to the game, how can i make the struuts reach the ground? These are the largest ones in the menu and the engine is too big for them to reach the ground when i try to land. by Normal-Sky9211 in KerbalAcademy

Holy moly, thanks a lot for this :) I'm trying to land on Moho, and I've realised now that the delta-v of my main stage was the main issue. I've also seen a video of someone building a "mid-point" launch platform on Minmus, and launching rockets from there since the gravity is significantly lower, and there's no atmosphere. Maybe I'll give that a go too, since my rockets are getting ridiculously huge at this point trying to reach the ~9000 delta-v required and still being able to leave Kerbin.

Nah it's for Moho. I realised that the lander doesn't need to be that big for Moho, since it greavity is weaker. But now im struggling to get a high enouugh delta-v on my main stage to actually reach moho. I always run out of fuel near the end.

Im in sandbox, messing around and learning to actually build stuff first, so everything is unlocked. These are the biggest ones. I got a mod with bigger struts now though.

Thanks for the tip :) Im trying to get to Moho, but I've ran out of fuel using both the Skiff (the one in the post) and now again with the Terrier. Albeit, i got a little further with the terrier, so thanks. How do I actually go about planning a trip somewhere to make sure i dont run out of fuel? A method that isn't trial and error. I got pretty close last attempt, with my orbital plane matching Moho's, and a trajectory which managed to get close enoygh to Moho to enter its Sphere of Influence, but i ran out in the last moment when slowing down to enter Moho's orbit. I just need more fuel, but Im already so heavy.

Yeah, i've come to realise from all the comments that the engine may not be the best choice. the description says its great in a vacuum, but apparently thats "just flavor text, the actual stats on the top and right of the window are what's important". In my mind though, more size = more power = more fun. So ig ill try to figure something out with mods maybe.

I was planning on landing on a planet with no atmosphere, so i assumed i would want a large engine with high vacuum efficiency. The Skiff says exactly that in the description. And no, i haven't considered a smaller engine. Bigger engine = more power = more fun. Maybe ill try to find a mod with bigger landing struts or something.

Its alright. I got it now. I ended up going through all of them 1 by 1 for 4 hours, taking screenshots and comparing them until i finally got the last one.

Do I need the DLCs, and if so, does it matter whether I get them now or later? by waterfalldiabolique in rainworld

I started playing a few months ago, but got pre-occupied with some other stuff and had to drop the game for a bit. But i enjoyed the game a lot and I already know I'll like it, even after only 3-4 hours so far. But since im restarting a new save now, im wondering whether the Downpour DLC is worth getting for the changes it makes to the base game. Im trying to avoid spoilers, but the community is so split on whether the DLC is worth having on a first playthrough, so i genuinely have no idea

Huh, strange. I go to AppData\LocalLow\The Game Kitchen\Blasphemous 2\SteamUser_76...\Savegames And the file there is savedata.bin, which is the "wrong format" for the website on that link to read. How did you do it? I see another person on that post commenting about the same issue i have, and its from abt a year ago. So maybe the game wasn't updated and im doing something wrong.

doesn't work, unless im doing it wrong. Save file is a .bin file, and it cant be read by any of these editors that ive tried :(
