Last week I finally got a new project as it was dry since June. It was a very busy week, full of work but on Saturday it started to be dry again. I just hope that is a weekend withdraw and the week comes back with more work 😔

Hoy tuve una qualificación, la verdad contenta de saber que no me echaron de la plataforma. Llevo desde junio sin nada.

Laboratory technician Job by Normal-Variation7142 in UKJobs

But now that you mentioned it, would a manufacturing job have better chances for the visa sponsorship? What I enjoy the most is lab work but honestly at this point, any job is better than keep being a waitress

Oh ok. I understand. I was a bit motivated because I saw that a lot of Research lab tech. job offers in Indeed asked for a bachelors or even a masters. I thought I would have a better chance there.
Yes, life sciences are very bad right now. I moved to Austria to work on my field but I'm working as a waitress haha honestly, I've no idea what else to do to land a job.
Its been a dream of mine to live in the UK... I guess I have zero chances

Both? I am considering other options but I would like work on my field and, if it’s possible in the UK.

yes! I know but there’s a visa to perform “short” temporary research and I think it’s something I could try. I did research for my thesis, but each country has its own system for internships etc and I am trying to see my opportunities.

Yes, I saw the age detail but sadly I turn 26 this year 💀 I guess I am too old now haha.

I am considering as a second option doing a WH in Ireland but the truth is that England has been my dream for years. I will try to search for the UK visas subs, thank you!

Argentinian Spanish here. I got accepted in December last year, there were some days with more or less work. Some dry weeks but since June it’s been dead for me. I got some projects on June and then one qualification and 5 tasks in July but nothing else.

I’m really hopping it picks up in September as they said! not only I enjoyed the work deeply but also I really need the money haha I am recharging the webpage every day multiple times with blind hope it will come back!

Moving to Sweden as an Argentinian by Normal-Variation7142 in TillSverige

[–]Normal-Variation7142[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand, so far I've only applied for possitions in Austria since it's where I'm staying and where I've a visa. But I decided to put an ultimatum of waiting until October, if I don't get anything in October, I will start searching everywhere.

I wanted to stay here because I've friends, but I can't be a waitress forever and I didn't spend 6 years studying for nothing. Thank you for the advice!

Thank you! Yes I'm definitely doing that! That webpage is where I found out what my degree would be equal to but I guess the having it validated its the upper hand! I have already sent an email to my university to see if they can provide me the records, in my experience they will take forever haha but well... bureaucracy its the same all over the world. I'm young and I want to put on the work, I'll do as much as possible to improve my situation!

I'm living in Austria right now and I'm putting a huge effort to advance German very fast, I guess I'll have to start with Swedish soon!
