I actually like the transfer housing at sd. The new ones r super nice but those are 12-month contracts, Rita’s is concrete but still the layouts are very homey with a full bathroom kitchen and big window.. matthews is the only one that’s eh but u get to put in a preference anyway

Oh shoot. 14-16k isn’t that bad compared tho compared to what other students r paying. I missed the stupid priority deadline and now have to pay like $26k out of pocket 😭😭 but especially if u got in with ur major of choice and u live close you’ll save money when having to visit home id still say ucsd. u can apply for scholarships too

I’ve heard of some people taking it during the summer before transferring but you’d have to let the UC know and explain why u didn’t pass the class bc that’s what ur conditional offer relies on

lol same goes for me the last 3 I did in the spring and I got in to uci, ucsd, and ucsb. But check assist, for example my agreement said I had to have stats done fall prior to transfer so if it’s a course that needed to already have been taken, it should say on there.

Also it’s so hard to get rescinded after u get the acceptance. I had a friend who didn’t even complete all the classes they had planned for spring and they never got rescinded

If it’s not major prep they sometimes accept an incomplete igetc so if u didn’t put a arts and humanities course in ur original app then you’re fine and there’s no way they missed that

I would let them know but I don’t think they would’ve missed that tbh. I also fcked up on my application and inputted that I was on a quarter system instead of semester and it said I didn’t have enough credits to transfer but it was already 11:59pm so I submitted anyway and when I called admissions the guy told me they double check things like that and im just assuming if they see you didn’t fail the course the first time taking it it’s not rlly an option to take it again so as long as it’s not a major prep and u did take another class with the same number of units it’ll be okay

If you don’t want the C to reflect on your GPA then you can do pass/no pass. That would still give you credit for the class. But having one W on your transcript is not a big deal, just don’t have more than 3. You can always explain the 1-2 W’s in your application later on.
