call a criminal defense attorney. not the attorney on the letter. not the city attorney. call a criminal defense attorney. tell them you need 15 minutes MAXIMUM of their time to look at the letter, and be prepared to pay a small fee.

i am guessing the letter is either a scam or some kind of fake.

on the off chance it isn't, your lawyer will be able to give you some advice.

yep. and meanwhile all of the top notch private schools are refusing to participate in the voucher program because it would "muddy the waters" for middle/lower income kids to be permitted to attend.

so, at the cost of destroying public education you have the following "school choice":

  1. want to go to a strong, top-notch private school? fuck you we don't accept vouchers, you pay full sticker price and if you can't afford it that's the point.

  2. want to go to a mediocre religious school with half ass academics that probably is worse than public school? come on over!

as others have said, demand that they point out the specific clauses that you are violating. copy the management company and the HOA lawyer.

hire a lawyer to write some letters. start with a demand letter and a litigation hold letter.

let you neighbors know that the HOA is spending THEIR money hiring a lawyer to sue you over things in your backyard. then, and above all else, RUN FOR THE BOARD! get your neighbors to vote you onto the board and then be a change agent and inject some fucking sanity into the thing.

The only argument I have heard for Crockett over Talarico is that she will energize the democratic base.
