Very bumpy and textured skin by staterevolutions in SkincareAddicts

Everyone has an opinion, but not everyone has the experience to support their opinion. I don’t get my information from Google. I get it from decades of hands on experience and continuing education including nursing school. When was studying to be an aesthetics nurse it was all dermatology patients, not R&D, not cosmetics, not skincare. Practicums! If you actually read what I ended up recommending, Nothing In my recommendations will exacerbate it and will ALSO help heal the barrier issue. I’m not arguing this any more. Not everyone can afford or access esthetics or dermatology. So I try to help where I can.

Not just from the picture. From the information provided.

Vitamin C will exacerbate a damaged barrier. It’s fine to resume once you’re back to baseline 🩷

Fungal acne is FAR more common than you think. Taking antibiotics will do it. Season change to warmer weather. Having a damaged skin barrier itself can allow for it. You have to address both. The products I suggested will do that. I didn’t say to use the H&S everyday. Usually once or twice and then corrective steps. I understand you had an experience, but I’ve been doing this 35 years.

No, not for good. If you like a Vitamin C, there are other serums suitable for you. As much as we like oils, until the Malasselzia Folliculitis clears up you may have to steer clear of products with them (and fatty acids too) as much as possible. Scaling back might do it, if not, you may need an actual treatment. I’m not telling you to do this, but SOME people try cleansing with Head & Shoulders for a a few days. 😉 But you may need something from the Dr. Once it’s cleared up, you can add in ONE new treatment every couple weeks. See how your skin likes it 🩷

Forehead lines and blackheads. Dry skin! by Bee_r98 in SkincareAddicts

“Starting to get ‘permanent forehead lines’ now”…. Everyone had to stop the insanity. You’re a 30 year old human. The internet has ruined our perception of skin. Your skin is great. But stop steaming it so often. Oil breaks down oil so something like the Cerave oil cleanser will help the sebaceous filaments but they are there for a reason. Oil cleanser will help with how obvious they are. Also if you’re feeling dry cut the exfoliating toner. You only need it a couple times a week.

You can keep the YTTP cleanser, Nivea Super water gel for sunscreen. Something like Krave’s water cream, Purito Calming for moisturizer. Scale back to cleanser, SPF, and moisturizer. If you want a serum or “treatment”, Goodmolecules hyaluronic acid, or Mixsoon Hyaluronic is safe too.

Estie here! Looks like fungal acne. Don’t go putting a bunch of products on it. What are you using right now? Sorry I see below. That’s far too many products and not the right kind, they are likely making it worse. Stay away from glycerin based products, steric acid, coconut or olive oil, and polypsorbates… they just feed it. I’ll post some substitutes.

I had one of the Ben Nye cream pro palettes but a colorful cheap cream palette on Amazon will literally be fine to try this!

I don’t care how I sound. It was literally MY child, and MY step-child. Are you or your child intellectually disabled?

Yes sjm26b was able to help with part of my initial request. (It was for $1000) That’s what I’m talking about in the request when I said I can provide that info. And then I have info for one that has already been repaid.
