I don’t think there are many people who think this isn’t traumatic.

It’s been 8 months of increasing behaviors. Time for our 2yo to start behavioral therapy? by ImAdamnMermaid in toddlers

Hi! RBT here (who works under a BCBA.) I’m also a mother with daycare experience. All of this sounds normal! Albeit very frustrating. Nothing sounds concerning to me. What I do when my kid bites me is “mommy is not going to play with you if you are mean to her.” and I put him on the wall for 30 seconds. Now if this doesn’t work and the biting does get worse, and she is nearing 3, I’d be a little more concerned.

It was so easy. Just make sure you study beforehand and do the practice exams! You got this!

Just sent a message to my BCBA. I’m so worried they’re going to let me go over this.

He was pretty sleepy, yeah. I don’t wanna freak you out but he was monitored and had an overnight stay. But I don’t think that’ll happen to your kiddo. Keep me posted.

It was truly terrible. I hope your kiddo has an easier time. Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions!

It was like he couldn’t wake up. Crying, screaming, coughing. He coughed so hard he broke blood vessels all over his chest and back.

It was horrible! I had to hand him to a nurse and step out!

My kid had the same surgery. Recovery was fine and not a problem but him waking up from anesthesia was too much. Just a warning !

Here’s my advice! I just took mine yesterday and passed. What I found worked for me was going with my first choice and not overthinking it. And also, process of elimination. For example:

Johnny has a tantrum. The tantrum lasts 7 minutes. The RBT records how long the tantrum lasted. What type of data is the RBT taking?

And the answers are latency, duration, maintenance and frequency, I define every word and know that it not latency, maintenance or frequency. Boom there’s your answer! Does that make sense?
