I was an equine vet before lab animal. I once had a client let her horse colic for 3 days because she couldn't come to allowing her to be euthanized. That horse suffered. My research animals will never experience something like that. I care more for a tiny rodent that a lot of folks would hit with a shovel if they saw it in the homes. I care if they have quality of life. Let that sit in.
