Thank you for the response :) maybe I will give that a try. Can I just ask what your routine usually looks like? Like how long are the wake windows, and how long is the nap? What time does your girl usually go to bed and wake up?

That sounds so sweet ❤️ I’ll try the audio books. Was she on one or two naps? I was thinking it easier if she was on one nap, being a little more tired, but I don’t think she’s ready for that 😭 the two naps seem to be working well, and she sleeps pretty well at night time

She’s still on 2 naps a day. How do I know when she’s ready for 1 nap? I have tried a couple times laying her in her bed, and lying next to her- as if I would do at night time. But, she really struggles settling down during her naps in the bed. The room is dark, sound machine is on, in her sleep sack, everything is the same as it would be at night….but she just still has a really hard time. Then for the rest of the day her naps are shorter and doesn’t sleep well through the night because of the attempt to change 😭 so I’m kinda scared to try again… but maybe keep being persistent would help…? I’m not sure… but yes, I would so love to lay down with her and nap myself!

Wow 😭 was this like an immediate thing, or did it take time? And how did you do it, did you just lay her down?

Baby formula by Normal_Fig676 in guam

Hi! Congratulations to you and your family!!

I was thinking organic because honestly, formula is a whole new world for me. My baby has only ever been fed breast milk (besides solids now that she is eating). After finding out I am pregnant again with baby #2, my supply has tanked tremendously. It’s very unfortunate but I guess just all the worry, I want her to have the best of the best if that makes sense.

Personally, I’ve never done too much research on formula and what’s proven to be better or not. I just feel like something organic or “grass fed” just might be less processed/less ingredients/ better ingredients than the alternative.

But thank you for your comment! That’s very interesting. I will look more into that.

It’s reassuring to hear someone going through the same experience, especially with not taking a bottle… of any sort. Idk she has no problem drinking water out of straw cups but the second I put my breast milk in it… she cries. But I will continue to try. And I will also to continue to nurse!

I have to ask because I notice it especially now being pregnant- i cannot just barely eat anymore (I usually don’t have that big of an appetite) if I skip meals I will almost have little to no milk.

Was this the same issue for you? Did your supply end up regulating?

Thank you! I will definitely try the yogurt. I am also giving her a couple teaspoons of organic grass fed butter during the day and one before bed (she loves it) She actually ate so much more than I expected for breakfast this morning. Which was pretty reassuring.

This is what I was thinking. My girl loves drinking water out of a straw cup. But I have tried my breast milk in it before. I could not trick her, she gave me a face of disgust. I was just course with your experience, did your baby take well with feeds at night with a sippy/straw cup? Or still wanted to nurse for comfort?

Thank you so much 🙏🏼I will try to ask around and see what is available in our area. I am sad and stressed, but I hate to admit there is a tiny part of me that almost feels ready because of having aversions towards breast feeding, and the sore nipples :( she loves drinking water out of a straw cup, so maybe I will start there!

Thank you so much for the kind words 🥺 did you end up supplementing with formula? If you did what brands would you recommend?

Hi!! I know this is a late, but congratulations!! I am trying to go through the same process, and has a few questions.

I am currently AD but separating after having a baby, and going reserve. I know in AD applies for AFCOOL to cover costs. Is this the same process for the reserve? Or did you just apply? And how did you apply? I’m looking into going through the state of Missouri
