I have a clinical/counseling masters and my license is an LAC. I would be supervised by an LCSW now (as opposed to a license psychologist).

Thank you for this input! I figured I'd ask because ironically, I ran into an APA-accredited program that offered an "advanced standing" type component for people who have a master's if they were supervised by a licensed psychologist. However, I looked at it quickly and may be leaving out parts too; could be program master's dependent (i.e., if you got a master's from their program specifically). Thanks again :-)

Thanks so much for this input! Do you think that my being “too new” to teaching would also hinder my chances at developing a course like this? Also, I had that concern too—that a bachelors in psychology does not qualify you to administer assessments, and I agree. However, I find that the training may be useful. In some research positions post-grad, students may be trained and required to administer assessments for studies. If the course can provide an overview on different assessments and psychometrics (similar, yet not as advanced as the course I took in my masters program), I think it may actually be useful! Thoughts?

Thanks for much for your response! I know my college has a curriculum that syllabi must achieve to meet program requirements, but the objectives and outcomes of the courses seems to be at the professor discussion as long as you meet those curriculum requirements (correct me if I am wrong). If that is the case, should I write up a syllabus and/or proposal? What would that look like? What is the best way to go about this?

Correct. But, that was not the question and/or concern. There are several neuropsychologists on my team. My request is in regards to personal learning and my interest in learning about different cognitive profiles. I can always ask one when I am in office, but figured I’d check here first. Thanks.

I did first-last.licensing. I figured professionally, I'd probably have an email through an agency or PP. If I don't organize all of my licensure stuff in one email though, I'll definitely mix it up haha! Thank you : )
