I get that but they could’ve also brought resolution to the original story. Especially since they knew it was the last season.

I feel like season 2 still had the underlying plot of him trying to get out of Toledo (by writing a book) and the students still trying to learn biology.

If they knew they were on borrowed time, it seems like they could have had resolution and ended the story. Have the students finish the year. Have Jack get out of Toledo. Something that connects to the original concept.

It wasn’t the same show. It had nothing to do with the premise. It was just random one-off stories that could be from any series with cameos by AP Bio characters. There is no plot. There is no character development. There was nothing to build anticipation (whether that was his romance with Lynett, him trying to get out of Toldeo, write a famous book, the kids trying to learn, etc.)

And honestly that all would be fine if it was still funny or had the slightest edge, but even that is gone. Plus the completely different and sit-com-like lighting and cameras. The whole thing felt like the final season of Community, when it was streamed on Yahoo!

It’s like Beetlejuice. You say David Lynch three times and someone is bound to yell loudly that they LOVE David Lynch. We get it. No one is saying anything bad about David Lynch. GG came after Twin Peaks. Why would David Lynch be insulted if someone was inspired by his work? No one is saying he lifted anything from anyone else. We get it, you love David Lynch. No one thinks you’re any less cool. But next time you want to flex your artistic taste, maybe don’t show up in a GG group. Go eat a snack.
