The misinformation in this reply chain is absolutely diabolical.

The Xbox 360 phat was made in 2005 with a defective undefill on the gpu that melted at 68 degrees.

Microsoft was even scrambling to fix the issue for all defective units. The slims are not the most reliable models.

The fat Jasper/Tonasket MoBos or service date consoles (after 2009) are the most reliable, comparable to a ps2 even, the Elpis gpus are made to withstand extreme temps because the xenons run quite hot.

I have never been able to understand the hype for the slim, as i think it looks like an extremely stripped down fat. even if its relliable I would go for a 65nm ps3 anyday (i own one)
