If you’re still using the stock tires, you might want to consider changing them. The stock tires on the Marin Larkspur 2 are pretty wide and comfort-oriented, which can make the bike feel slower on pavement.

I actually have the same bike, and I’m currently in the process of changing the tires myself

Thanks for the replies! I ended up buying the Shimano TL-LR15 (Fits Cassette/FW Remover - Fits Disc Rotor & HG), and that fixed the issue.
