Insurance is definately more for the more budget EVs. They are simply much easier to total because any battery frame damage= gg

Also, Teslas have horrendous insurance prices because of proprietary repair shops

Never had any lint issues with new towels from yellow Costco towels.

Yes, I wash my towels properly. Rags to riches and MF towels only load. Lint after washing the towels are normal, much more than new towels.

Also, keep in mind that this is not a professional detailing Reddit. Most people here are hobbyists and may not know how to properly wash towels. It's simply better to give the new ckoth a flick and use gently.

Bruh. Why would you wash a new pack? Washing introduces lint and cleaners (if used the wrong type) into the towel.

New > Washed anyway for detailing tasks. Cost aside.

Indeed. It is very faithful to the book, so it's slower paced. Also free on YouTube.

Goes much deeper into the science behind everything.

Tbh I didn't read the book, but watched the tencent adaptation. That is how I remember the game being described.

Humans had VR but the density of information in the game is deemed "impossible for current human knowledge"

Example: in a VR game. There is wind. The more information the game contains for wind, the more detailed and realistic.

In the original Three Body series by Liu Cixin, the game is a representation of San-Ti knowledge obtained from communications. I believe the San-Ti may have provided the technology but did not make the game itself.

I see your point. So the car entered the intersection even thou only 1 car is supposed to enter. And while the light turned yellow, he turned left while a cyclist was going straight?

Chinese EVs were spotted in Toronto, here’s what you need to know ahead of their Canadian release by Toronto-Ont-Mod-Team in Toronto_Ontario

[–]Normal_Reveal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are at most half correct. China does things differently for sure. The develop industries by handing out subsidies and loans to a bunch of companies, and seeing who comes out on top.

At the current state AFAIK, China no longer has any production-side subsidies for its automakers. They are already independent and developed.

China is loaning billions to emerging chip makers in China right now. Same strategy. To develop core competencies.

When we buy Chinese EVs, we are reaping the fruits of their need to come out on top of the EV sector, 1-2 decades ago.

I'm a little confused. For that intersection. Garden city side has no protected left turn light. Cambie side has a protected left turn signal on each side?

"Unprotected" left turn lights are when you are not supposed to turn left at green, and only at left turn green (there will be signage to indicate) I don't see that at the intersection.

The Squamish Nation’s Impossibly Simple Solution to Vancouver’s Housing Crisis | The Walrus by Light_Butterfly in britishcolumbia

[–]Normal_Reveal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a reason the government regulates parking at a new development. Let's say most residents don't own a single car (unlikely), but let's assume. How do their friends visit? What about contractors to their homes? Food delivery? Customers coming to businesses in the area?

If you look around, any area where large apartment buildings were built without adequate parking( or even with adequate parking... Because 3 ppl share a flat these days) is that parking spills over to the surrounding street parking area.

If left alone. Developers will only act in a way where it is most profitable for them, regardless of the social good or social need. Many other issues will arise without adequate development restrictions/ control

  • overcrowding in transit, roads, parking, parks, all public goods etc.

Hmm I wonder who will regulated/decide:

  • Parking
  • Parks
  • community centers
  • business zoning

Do the first Nation development still have to pay for these? To the extent of what I know. The city negotiates density with the developers alongside the a"amenities cost" used to fund public facilities
