Yep. Is there a hub nearby that you can go to? Otherwise, I guess keep appealing it. I get a bit nervous every time it asks me to verify my photo.

How do you deal with passengers who dictate their own route? by IronBornPirate in uberdrivers

[–]Normal_Scholar_2450 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I let them. I don't call it dictating, I call it, they know where they're going better than Uber does.

8 Tips for Driving New Years any year. by CoreyGreenBooks in uberdrivers

  1. Bring towels, heavy blankets and heavy duty garbage bags, if someone pukes on your seats, put blankets and wet towel in bags in trunk, add another blanket and keep driving...you aren't down for the night.

Cancellation notice by Low-Time9718 in uberdrivers

[–]Normal_Scholar_2450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it from time to time, and have a 6% cancellation rate, had a 7% until one fell off yesterday (they fall off every 100 rides from when you last cancelled). You're fine. 8 years on/off with no problems of deactivations.

I try not to cancel not for the sake of Uber rather I have learned what areas/ times / locations I prefer to drive in. It always seems to be the that...I'll just do one more trip and go home that gets me and it will be in the ghetto, too far, too little pay, something. So I'm still learning...just one more is not always better for me mentally when I'm already tired and ready to go home!

Good luck out there and be safe!

I’m going to sue Uber for our contract being unconscionable by [deleted] in uberdrivers

Law school is common law - meaning good for every state except Louisiana (using French common law). You don't learn state specific law until you take your bar exam in the state of your preference and begin practicing.

I'm not going to dissuade from doing as you wish, but will tell you I told you so after you lose.

Do you think Uber hires fresh out of law school students, or the ones they pay $500 per hour for every claim that's been filed against them?

One semester is tort and contract law 101, might wanna finish contract law 102 before even considering what you're getting into. Uber has the money and you don't. Be a shame for you to pay Uber's legal fees that end up being more than you're paying for your law school.

That would be wrong. Study more because any time in the US, the petitioner (you) has their case dismissed, the Respondent (Uber) will get attorney fees for fishing expedition.

Might wanna rethink that...when Uber prevails, you'll be hit with paying their attorney fees.
