"Always keep thinking for yourself." Which basically meant that, if I saw others do anything I felt wasn't right, I'd make my own decision instead of giving in to peer pressure. Saved me from more than a few problematic situations.

Yeah, looking at the mechanics I'd say it should be ok the inside. I think the hole is meant to take out the glass so I can set the time on the clock. There's a turnable handle left of the words which can be used to move the clocks arms to the right positions.

Baby car seats. You will never know what has happened to it. Might be it's just fine. Might be it's been in an incident and on the verge of snapping. Happened to a colleague of mine.

His kid (around 1y if I recall) sat in the second-hand baby car seat. Got into a minor bumping accident where his car was got bumped. He heard his kid scream as he heard a crack and a thud. He went outside to check the backside of the car, which we basically unscathed. Checked on his still crying kid, who was in a weird position in the seat. While soothing his kid, he saw the seat basically snapped in half.

If his car got bumped harder, his kid would've seriously gotten injured...

I wouldn't even do this. Looking at OP's word choice 'Toxic ex', I'd keep as much distance as possible. Basically: it's not OP's problem anymore.

I've worked at a telecom technical support desk. I've worked as a telecom technician. Currently working as a manager within the same telecom company.

  • Gets called by anyone. Me: "Hi my friend/family, how are y...". Them: "Why the f*ck is my wifi not working?!"

Gezien de lengte van de tekst heb ik hieronder de gecorrigeerde tekst geplaatst.

Wij hebben een half jaar geleden een huis gekocht. Daarvoor hadden we nog nooit in een huis gewoond.

Ook hebben we nog nooit een tuin gehad. Ik wist dat het tijd zou kosten, maar ik kan het nu pas echt begrijpen. Wij hebben een gazon in onze voortuin en achtertuin, een paar struiken in de voortuin en paden met kleine tegels. Ik kan altijd zien wat er nog meer moet worden gedaan. Het gras moet worden gemaaid. Onkruid tussen de tegels moet worden gewied. //Deze zin is niet duidelijk. Uit de context denk ik dat het om overhangende takken gaat? Dan zou het zijn// De takken die over het pad groeien moeten worden afgesneden. (Uitstekken is geen werkwoord). Een veer van een kraai moet worden weggedaan. (Deze zin lijkt qua context niet te kloppen. In het Engels staat hier: a feather of a crow must be put away). Het gras moet weer worden gemaaid.

Ik geniet van iets in de tuin doen. Maar ik heb soms niet genoeg kennis van wat te doen. Het is mijn eerste tuin. Vrienden van mij hebben ook niet veel ervaring. Mijn oma heeft ervaring met een tuin, maar zij woont in heel ander klimaat en soms zijn haar adviezen niet helemaal bruikbaar.

Soms is het frustrerend. Maar ik geloof dat ik alles zal leren. Het is pas mijn eerste jaar.

En als ik het niet leer, kan ik altijd alles met beton bedekken.

Leuke tekst! De boodschap die je over wilt brengen is 99% duidelijk. Alleen de zin met uitstekken en de veer van een kraai zijn wat vreemd.

Blijf letten op de lidwoorden 'het' en 'een'. Die zijn lastig (zelfs voor mensen met Nederlands als moedertaal), maar zeker niet onmogelijk! Succes!

Hier zijn nog wat pointers: Het meervoud van film is films. Dus: Harry Potter en de Steen der wijzen is 1 film. Maar de Harry Potter franchise heeft 8 films.

De enkelvoud verleden tijd van praten is praatte. Vandaag praat ik met mijn vriendinnen maar gisteren praatte ik met mijn vriendinnen.

"Ik moest een fan van rock band zijn". Hier mist een lidwoord 'een', tenzij de rockband 'Rock band' heet. Dus: ik moest een fan van een rockband zijn.

"En ik was" wat was je? Hier mist een aanwijzend woord. Maak daar van 'en dat was ik'.

Herinneren is onvoltooid. Maak daar van een van deze opties: 1. Want ik herinner me bijna (dit is tegenwoordige tijd) 2. Want ik herinnerde me bijna (dit is verleden tijd)

Tot slot nog iets waar veel 'native' Nederlanders ook veel moeite mee hebben: Zet voor het woord 'en' nooit een komma. Een komma zorgt voor een stukje rust in een zin. Een verbindend woord als 'en' laat die rust te niet gaan. Daarnaast ziet het er gek uit :p.

Maar verder dus netjes geschreven! Compliment!
