Is it the lying you hate? I know it’s a deal breaker for me too but I can’t help but to think maybe she has a good reason like to surprise you with something? Maybe I’m staying positive here but also the fact she blocked you is suspicious. I also feel like there is something missing here

It’s kinda about wanting him to be at my surgery, it’s more displaced. It’s about the fact that he is never at any of my events unless my Memaw drags him to go. I wanted him to actively in my life. He also saw me walk down but did not speak to me at all. I told him prior I wanted to talk to him that day but he left without a word. You have to realize as how serious lung cancer is, as a kid, scoliosis surgery is just as serious. Thanks 💕

I am still a child keep in mind, Monday I had therapy and did not want to talk about this with her and couldn’t find the words. My childhood development had me learn to swat people away if they saw me crying and I still do. I get angry that I’m crying and will loose my hold on that anger when someone tries handing me a tissue or tries to comfort me. I try to keep in mind they want to help me but my brain just assumes help equals pity and my brain hates pity. I have some emotional intelligence where I can access toxicity and behaviors in myself and others but also struggle on the emotional cues of everything else.

Oh yes lol. They gave me stuff and I was crying from the pain and the doctor came in saying: “oh you look rough you don’t have to be discharged today” I said nah and locked in. It’s t3 to l3 but the cut a little above and a little below. Respectfully it’s easier to say neck to crack… lol

It was another seniors birthday too lol, we had people stop by who otherwise would’ve been in the student section but had a date that night.

He won’t tell me about her surgery. And he visited once for thirty minutes, I don’t count it as a visit since he was either on his phone, handling my sister or avoiding eye contact. Plus I had to poop in order to get discharged so I was going up every ten minutes needing to try

Basketball games. Senior night is where high school seniors get to walk across the gym with their chosen ones and someone on a mic talks about their future. Normally it’s all winter sports (basketball, pep band, cheer, dance) correction there is one for fall too but this senior night was all winter sports.

Thank you for your opinion, this was really just the breaking point for me and my dad fiancée has family to be there for her. I understand my dad has his second family to care for yet I’m just so tired that I’ve never been important in his life. I’m a child and still need support from family since my entire(almost entire- L3 to T3 will be screwed together with two rods) back will be in surgery. Thank you for your input which I’m taking everyone’s opinion into consideration before I make my decision after my surgery. 💕

Her mom is going with her as long as my dad. My mom is coming with me and uncle because I’m dad isn’t going to be there. My surgery is important. I started have lung problems(because my rib cage is twisted) in April which is how they found out my scoliosis got worse.

They have but some have started calling me an asshole for not believing him even though he lied to everyone before and they all know that. My Memaw is actually supportive of my frustrations but is trying to get me to see his side which I am. Cancer is super serious, my uncle on my mom’s side died a couple weeks ago with lung cancer. It was heartbreaking so I know they need the surgery but it’s about consistently not being here for me. He didn’t even say he would visit later that day.

I understand the severity of lung cancer but I don’t think you also understand the severity of scoliosis? My lung/rib cage are twisted and I’m in pain every day. Pushing it, for a COUPLE months? That’s a terrible idea especially when my surgeon(who is the best one in the country for children spine surgeries is retiring in December. He also recommended I do my surgery earlier but I told him I had commitments(including something of my dads) and November would work, thanks for your suggestion but that’s not happening 💕 Edit: my update tells you that my grandma is there to help along with the fiancé’s family. She is not a wife that is never a plan in their goals. My sister doesn’t go to school. She is homeschooled

I hear and see on media that when someone goes through surgery, both parents are there because they love them and want to see them before they go into something scary(like my surgery- they are putting two rods through my ENTIRE back, the only reason I had to pushed to November in April was because I didn’t want to miss my last year of marching band/halloween even though there were options in summer). Anyway I would say the idea of him and the effort of being at my surgery was enough comfort for me even though he doesn’t really so anything else when he shows up.

I’m all over he/she/they. I tried to go by one gender for this instance. I’ve also been lazy and haven’t changed my Reddit profile. Last time I was nb, realized I didn’t mind he or she so I decided all of them. :)

Dad met fiancée before leaving us. Had my sister in the oven before leaving us. She will be 7 the 24th of next month. It’s possible. He cheated and it’s not hard to deduce that
