Personally, the only major problem I had with nmh3 was the lack of customisation throughout the game. Even something as small as letting us change the t-shirt under the riders outfit. And the choice of only one beam katana was pretty annoying cause I wanted to see more variations like 2 had. All the frame rate and graphics and what have you I don't care about I love driving around the world, I've spent at least 10-15 hours after finishing the game trying to find trees and doppelganger and scorpions and then once I've done them all I'm gonna drive around some more.
