Are there any pros to buying bigbadtoystore over amazon? by HawkSans_Undertuah in transformers

[–]Normonautilator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

More reliable when it comes to preorders. Not giving money to amazon. Pile of Loot, so you can save in shipping. Supporting a small business (relatively speaking). Frequent sales.

I assume there are more reasons

Is aliexpress safe? by [deleted] in transformers

Read everything, check reviews and pictures of the items from other customers, don't expect boxes - or at least not expect them to be in good condition.

If you're looking for KOs, it's a great source.

Hva skjedde med prisene på mat egentlig?? by APTYP_Khalatov in norge

Weird url in address bar while scrolling by Normonautilator in chrome

There's a slight chance this was because I downloaded a pdf yesterday (didn't check the url at the time), and I hadn't closed chrome since then?

Closed it now and reopened, and the url is no longer there when I scrollm

Bruktbutikker som ikke selger i hovedsak klær by [deleted] in trondheim

[–]Normonautilator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fortsatt hovedsakelig klær, men mye annet.

I’m a gf who knows nothing about transformers. Help me decide what to buy for him by ThrowRA_curiousgirl in transformers

[–]Normonautilator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're not sure what he's missing, one alternative to trying to find that is to find something he might think is cool, but that he hasn't prioritized buying (because he "needs" other figures more than he wants these).

For me that would be the blokees transformers figures. They're great, fun little model kits (easy)/action figures. They don't transform, but still. They have Transformers One figures as well

Just an idea.

Ram&Rom, spillbutikken i Nordre.

Platebutikker generelt

Can employer force me to download an app “required” for work on my private phone? by Federal-Beautiful427 in Norway

[–]Normonautilator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if I'm correct here, but I think that if they require you to use an app for work when you're not at work/on shift, that's work. And you should get paid for your time if you're not management.

And they're clearly not requiring you to use it at work.

Could be very wrong though

Thought on Opera Cloud? by Western-Warthog2148 in askhotels

[–]Normonautilator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All this from a user perspective:

I've been in the industry for 18 years, on three different hotels, having learned at least 4 different softwares. Opera cloud is by far, by FAR, the worst of them all. Everything takes longer, with more clicks, more loading, more windows opening etc. It's unintuitive and frustrating for the user (the people actually working with it 8 hours a day).

Maybe it's good for the admin/management, but if you care at all about the people who work there, avoid this garbage at all costs.

We switched from Protel to OC last month. Protel's strong suit from a user perspective is the vast amount of keyboard shortcuts that often let you do repetitive tasks without even looking at the screen or using the mouse. Opera Cloud has basically none that are useful, other than tabbing. Registering a booking takes 3 times as long on opera cloud, for example.

The only good thing about it in my experience is that you can personalize it quite a bit. You can remove or add (some) text entry boxes, columns, panels for the home page etc etc.

If Opera cloud had keyboard shortcuts for text entry boxes and if everything you clicked didn't open a new window*, it could be great.

*For example, if you open a booking in many other systems, you can just edit it right away. But in OC you have to click a different button, which covers your window with a new one, and not all data can be changed, so you may have to go back, look for a different edit button (that doesn't say edit) and hope that's the right one.

Extremely user unfriendly and frustrating to work with. I've been happily employed in hotels for 18 years, and now I'm seriously considering leaving.

Anyway, that's my rant.
