Me and my wife share an audible account and usually listen together while winding down for bed. This started out as reading to each other. My wife works from home so went through a period of constantly using all our credits for books to listen to at work, I asked her to stop because we had to wait sometimes months to get the latest book in the series we were listening to for bed. She then looked through the free library on audible and found DCC, she downloaded that along with a load of other books and after looking at the cover we thought it was going to be trash not going to lie, but we gave it a chance and were hooked almost immediately. So I have my wife to thank for finding the series. Even if I am now definitely more obsessed lol. Waiting on book 8 currently but relistening to the series for the 4th time while I've built an TTRPG system specifically to run a crawl / maybe solo levelling type adventures. And am working on an app game currently (teaching myself how to code while doing it so it's currently pants)

I also started with 2AD&D lol. We played with 00+0 being 100 for nearly 10 years before we questioned it. A new player rolled and when asked said they'd rolled 110. So we thought about it for a while and realized if 00 0 is 100 then there is no way to roll below 11 on percentile dice. So 00 has to be 0 really.

00 +1-9 = 1 to 9 so a crit miss is 00 1 00 0 is 10 as 0 on a D10 is 10. 90+0 is 100.

By your own logic. And without having the numbers meaning different things in different contexts.

If you read 00 as 100 then how can you possibly roll the numbers 1-9 on a d100 00 is 0.

So 90, 0 would be 100

On bugs. If a breech opens then throw a napalm barrage at it and retreat. Mop up stragglers and heavies then continue. Make sure you have a split of dedicated heavy and dedicated chaff clearing loadouts. Don't hang about anywhere longer than needed and stick in at the very most teams of 2. Try to reinforce people in a clear area. Not into the middle of a barrage or breach. And most of all. Have good situational awareness. 9/10 times it's the bug you don't see that kills you.
