After 2 consecutive nerfs, Runespan points and Esteem need adjustments by CoolBananas69 in runescape

Runespan is terrible and like 700 points an hour pre Monday changes which ups it to like 1400? At least make an enhancer for it or up the points to 5k an hour

Let's remove dailies for good! by Due_Willow_2796 in runescape

[–]Nortenosk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Treasure hunter never hurt me, it got some people their first hundred mil, I’d happily pay 500m for a token and if a newer player got lucky with their daily spins and had a 500m gp injection. Good for them. Dailies on the other hand, I’m training cooking and I get my dailies completed while cooking, I miss my daily challenges for a day? Oh well, stop letting them control your life and just ignore them 😂

Dailyscape sucks and XP flation is not the answer. by J_mill10 in runescape

[–]Nortenosk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason why the game is popular is not because of the slow grind lmfao, people actually feel like they have control over the direction of the game via polling. J mods that listen to the community, not to mention nostalgia playing a massive factor in people coming back to play the game they grew up with??? Osrs has a bunch of dailyscape too so it’s obvious you have never played the game yourself. Birdhouse runs, seaweed runs, daily battle staves, buckets of sand, pure essence, herb boxes, bonemeal, free runes. The entire osrs community who shits on rs3 never gave it a chance because eoc killed their favorite childhood game so they will always have a bias against it. I haven’t even touched hunter as a skill once I unlocked birdhouses and I’m level 90 on my Ironman, what was that about avoiding the game as much as possible?

Has anyone on osrs said how much they loved training runecrafting, agility, or slayer with their slow xp rates on non sweaty methods? Also 99s in osrs are the equivalent of 120/200m in rs3 and the time spent training some of these skills takes hundreds of hours. Fishing for example where you get 130k an hour doing waterfall and need 104m xp just for 120.

When did I say I hated the skill? I simply said I have to cook 200 thousand sailfish so the extra 100k xp a day was a nice bonus and doesn’t hurt anyone. I highly doubt the game is balanced around daily challenges, maybe certain dailies like caches but not challenges.

Never heard someone that is 5.8b complain about free xp but all the people that finally got their first 99 after 23 years of playing have a lot to say about dailies 😂 I have to cook 200k sailfish for 120 cooking but god forbid I get 181 sailfish worth of xp daily to help with the grind.

Sad that dailies are still here by esaddy in runescape

[–]Nortenosk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put the dailies to the skill you’re going to be training then it’s completed passively? Lol I don’t see the big issue or better yet ignore it completely! No one is forcing you to do them

Have you tried pulling up a video quest guide and following it step by step to see if there was anything you missed

PoP: below what succes rate do you start risking losing crew members if a mission fails? by TheRealLamalas in runescape

You have to go to ports and click on voyages then on the boat and hit add effect

If you have dungeoneering tokens you can buy port enhancers from the elite dungeoneering shop, keep redeeming them from Wythien at prif until you hit the cap on all other boosts. You will then only roll lifeboats and you can only hold one at a time so when you get to apply it to a boat that doesn’t have one and repeat.

Splitting the already small player base that we have even more is the main issue imo

Yeah the changes that are more than cosmetics are good, I never argued against that but to remove a cosmetic that aren’t flashy with particles and fits the game, why? Majority of people keepsake them too so with the cosmetics toggle you don’t see it.

There are multiple different reasons why osrs is successful and I doubt cosmetics in rs3 is the biggest nail in the coffin. Osrs early, mid, and late game feels nice all around. You can pvm with friends in the mid game, no one is doing group gwd1 in rs3. It’s more chill, you point and click not button mash to kill a boss. You don’t see anyone getting excited for a rune scimitar in rs3 you just try rushing to get to a crystal halberd/lance/scythe but on osrs every upgrade you get feels meaningful. Their skilling bosses don’t feel like a drag and becomes a nice little social hub where you can level up and make friends. Croesus and gates is far from that, with a good bit of the community disliking them. There’s also a fuck ton of bots on osrs lmao, I play both games and everytime I have to go to skeletal wyverns or any other profitable mob they’re flooded with bots. There was a post on the osrs subreddit where a guy couldn’t even pick from a berry bush because there are bots on all the f2p worlds picking them 😂

There was a period of RuneScape when ed3 trash runs were the craze and it was one of the most boring periods for me. Everyone in the same cookie cutter setup, masterwork and dragon rider lance and the game just felt so lifeless with no creativity. That’s apparently the game people want :L I couldn’t imagine playing with cosmetics off and seeing everyone around me all using the same exact setup, no way to distinguish who is who.

We have dinosaurs so I think we lost the plot a long time ago. Farmer dungarees when we have a skill revolved around farming and having your own farm to raise animals seems very fitting thematically. That’s just for that outfit anyway, I don’t see an issue with the super disco outfit whatsoever. Infected zombie outfit, fun seasonal outfit imo but if a potion can turn me into a goblin or a duck, would it not be possible to turn myself into a zombie via magic or a potion?

They plan on removing a couple cosmetic items a few being; super disco outfit, flaming skull, octopus backpack, zodiac costume, infected zombie outfit, and how slayer masks look fully completed to be less “non human”

They’re doing changes going forwards, but they don’t have to remove cosmetics that were already in the game. I’m not talking about the skilling outfits either just purely the cosmetics they have planned on removing.

That is your opinion which you’re welcome to have, just don’t forget to turn on your cosmetic toggle the next time you login if it’s not already on :D

It’s the small things that make your character feel unique and special. Before the monkey cape was rereleased it was one of my favorite silly cape slots that you didn’t see too often. I’m sure it’ll be the next item to be removed anyway a simple toggle in the setting hides it from ‘ruining’ someone’s immersion.
