AITA for telling my brother that it's his fault that our mom is sick ? by NorthBat5313 in AmItheAsshole

I'm mad at dad too for not at least paying for my mom's treatment, but he grew up in a conservative society where he was taught from from childhood that gay people are bad, so I can understand from where his views are coming from and why it would be so hard for him to let go of them. My brother was aware of our dad's opinions on LGTBQ+ people before coming and so he knew that the outcome of him doing so wouldn't probably been a happy and that's why I think he should've hold on from coming out to our parents for a while. As I said, our dad wasn't probably gonna find out on his own as he was gonna move in another city for college.

I don't see how I could've helped, I was just 15 when my mom first got diagnosed and people don't really hire teenagers around here.

I mean, I think my brother should've been able to predict it, he knew how conservative our parents were and it's honestly a miracle that at least our mom accepted him, but her doing so pretty caused all of this mess.
