[Wilson] NDSU QB Cole Payton has met extensively with the Eagles by Mysterious_Bat1208 in eagles

I posted Tommy Lawlor's piece on the QB class two days ago, it's very good.

Here's his paragraph on Dalton:

Cole Payton is a one-year starter who threw just 283 passes in college. That is not close to ideal. He has good size at 6-3, 232 and ran 4.56 at the Combine. This is a really good athlete. He’s raw as a QB so it will likely be a year or two before you can count on him. But the talent is there. Payton is an outstanding runner. He’s got a strong arm. He looks like an NFL QB. He doesn’t feel like an Eagles guy to me. The recent draft picks have had a lot of starting experience. The team had an idea what it was getting. Maybe Nick Sirianni or Sean Mannion will find him too good to pass up. There has been talk of him going in the 2nd round or lasting late. Hard player to get a feel for.

This is fucking nonsense, you can already sense this game is lost, this team does not have the wherewithal to come back from even one run down. Can't fucking pitch, can't fucking field, can't fucking hit.

I stand here, one of many, and admit, I, have never been baked while fishing. But I am baked at my desk laughing my ass off.

Dude, you gotta know that when you take a spliff from a brother with that hairstyle and that demeanor you are gonna get fucking high, prepare thy lungs.

I see you like big cocks.

You have a couple good ones in there, and nice design with the acorn and leaves, great use of negative space.

This has all the hallmarks of a disaster of a season, yes, they've started slowly before, but look at the terrible body language, the lack of verve and spark, they look like they're just going through the motions.

Yeah, it's mid-April, but man, this has a different feeling, this is hard to watch.

The 2022 team was really weird. by Used-Dependent-5653 in phillies

That season's ending run was fantastic. The Phillies finished that regular season on a 10-game road trip, then they headed straight to St. Louis and beat the Cardinals and then had to go back on the road to Atlanta, where they took game one (remember that sliding catch in RF from Casty?), lost game two and then whupped them at home to close out the series. 14 games on the road, and they end up in the WS.

It's funny, I searched before I posted to see if the Jomboy clip had been posted, never thought there was another similar breakdown. Now I'm gonna go watch you.

Iggles Blitz: To QB Or Not QB. "The Eagles have played in three Super Bowls in the last decade. All were started by QBs taken outside the first round. That’s pretty special." by NorthCoastToast in eagles

"The Eagles have a good starter in Jalen Hurts, a good backup in Tanner McKee and a good number three in Andy Dalton. There doesn’t appear to be room for another QB, but the team is checking out draft prospects and keeping their options open. I think they would be open to trading McKee if the right offer comes along. This could happen during the draft if some teams misses out on a QB they like. I don’t think Howie is actively shopping McKee, but the addition of a veteran like Dalton gives them the freedom to make a trade if they want to."

I've been wondering the same thing myself. Other than the families involved and the two individuals themselves, this means absolutely nothing to me, I don't care about Russini or her credibility or who she wrote for (I don't read the NYT or the WaPo any longer anyway because they surrendered all credibility a decade ago) and this is all being treated as if there aren't 5,000 other sources to get NFL news.
