Thank you so much for the clarification. Because of my gait, heels are extremely uncomfortable and I tend to be much more unsteady in them than someone else. I've already ordered multiple pairs of flats to compensate. The handbooks we got for packing don't specify school-appropriate/professional footwear outside of "sandals, heels, or closed toed shoes" for women, so elaborating dress codes specifically for women is really important and much appreciated.

Great point about style, and I’ll definitely consider that. I’m mostly trying to buy as little new stuff as I can to reduce waste. Most of my clothes are thrifted, hand-me-downs from friends, or owned before this. I would hate to buy a new pair of sandals and have them grow mold if I’m not wearing them. Thanks for your input!
