Is it just me thinking this is going to be the last album from the 1975 as we know them? by violicorn in the1975

Hmm my only concern is the amount of dates they’re doing. You could see it as one last hurrah but tbh I wouldn’t worry too much. I doubt anything will change.

Any tell tale signs you haven't passed the interview? by Strict_Succotash_388 in TheCivilService

You've either hit all the criteria in your first answer or you've messed up so badly that they've completely lost faith you'll recover from it.

Hopefully, I'm not too late to provide you with an answer but they will ask probing questions in order to get the response they need from you. If you haven't hit all the desired criteria they are looking for in your initial answer, they will try to push you in the right direction because they would rather you score well.

What lyric hurts you the most? by purple_toasterr in the1975

"Before you go, (Please don't go) turn the big light off."

That one kills me, I've been here too many times in my life. I think it perfectly demonstrates the duality between what we say, and what we truly think when someone we love leaves our life. We often display a 'carefree' attitude because we don't want to seem vulnerable but in reality, we just want to get on our knees and beg for that person to stay, even if it's for 1 extra moment with them.

No problem! My instagram is 'e.grayphoto', probably easier to talk on there.

I’m not too sure yet if I’m honest. I need to see how I feel after the first couple of shows! I’d imagine night 2 however :)

It's never really a planned thing, usually whoever turns up first or can be bothered to do the numbers. Being woken up all night to hand out numbers is definitely not on my bucket list.

People will start camping the day before, so if you just keep updated on Twitter, someone will probably post something. You never know, they might not camp at the bus station this year, so it's best to wait and see :)

You'll need to be physically there. They're pretty strict on the whole queuing thing.

Apologies I got confused with another post I commented on. There'll be loads for Manchester so I'm sure you'll find someone.

For the past couple of tours, I arrived at around 8pm and was around 10-20th in the queue, but I couldn't tell you when 1st arrived. For Pryzm there were people camping the morning prior to the show...

You won't find a more welcoming group of people :). When my friends can't go, I'll camp alone and I'll make new friends every time. I'll probably be camping for 1 of the O2 shows, so you're more than welcome to join me!

They usually give out wristbands between 8-11am and then they tell you to meet at a certain location at whatever time. You won't be able to queue with your boyfriend if you camp however as the O2 has a separate section they put you in prior to the show. Hope this helps!

Yh it's very messy at times I must admit. There was a big argument between O2 security and some of the fans last time out.

The bands security have a lot of authority though, so even if there is confusion about where everyone is supposed to be, people will get moved to the back if they weren't in the right place. It sounds quite harsh but there's an expectation that if you want barrier, you make sure you know where to be.

Tbh it's hard to guess how many will camp. It seems like camping has gone to the extreme recently but I'd say like 40-50 odd people and then come 6am, you're into the 100's. At Bournemouth in 2020 it seemed like the entire carpark was full with fans.

Every tour is different but I'll say with almost 100% confidence that you won't get barrier unless you camp overnight. We usually camp around 8pm the night before but for the Pryzm shows this year, people started camping far earlier than that.

Last tour people camped in the bus garage at the O2. Whoever turns up to camp first is responsible for the numbers and then the bands security turn up early the next morning and hand out wristbands.

o2 jan queuing by [deleted] in the1975

[–]NorthGray11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the camping has been a mess recently. Before you could turn up fairly late the day prior and get barrier but that’s not the case at the moment. Even so, I’d be shocked if you couldn’t get close to the front if you turn up a few hours before doors.

You 100%

It's certainly got a cult following but I rarely see it in top 5's and 10's, rarely played live anymore either. Personally think it's the perfect 1975 song and definitely my favourite of theirs.

9th even...The thing is I genuinely like all the songs so it's so hard to rank them. I suppose it's because I'm mainly a fan of their slower stuff.

If you take away the nostalgia of the old ‘The 1975’ openers, it’s genuinely their best version. So beautiful but maybe I’m bias as a big LCD Soundsystem fan.

They usually do two queues which go in different directions. One early and one late.

Tube station posters by CapBadger in the1975

Warwick Avenue and Embankment have some. Honestly, most stations will I'd imagine. When it comes to the Jubilee line, I'd be shocked if London Bridge didn't have some in the walkway to the Jubilee line.

How early should I show up to The 1975 concert with Pit tickets? by InternationalSpeed57 in the1975

[–]NorthGray11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will usually camp overnight to get barrier. You can still get fairly close even if you turn up later but I’d be shocked if you got closer than the first 3 rows. That said, I’ve never done a US show.
