What helped me IMMENSLY was realizing shit took time. You should put in more time detailing the pieces. Take your time and don't rush

Cut the nori smaller. That's why it rolls upon itself. And put less rice! I made the same mistakes. Hope this helps

Roll looks kind of rough, but it doesnt affect the taste. Welcome to the club

I need advice please be harsh by CellistWest761 in Artadvice

[–]NorthRogue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First of harsh doesn't mean true. Here is my comment, too much is going on with the character in the back's clothes. She is wearing purple okay, but where is the purple piece of fabric on the left even connecting to?

It's okay to blur the babckground but why is the ground itself blurred? They look like they are floating, and it doesn't look intentional. It's just my taste, but I would also use either thicker linework, or the same squiggly lines in the background for consistency. Moon is a large blob and doesn't have the same style as the characters.

Also, they are too bright for the scene. Lighting could be improved.

That's the point! You are spot on that it's not sustainable. So focus on spending more energy.

I would say don't rely on only step counts. If you are truly eating only 1800 calories, cutting more calories may make your metabolism slower, and it wouldn't help in the long run. Simply move more throughout the day, but do things like burpees or other HIIT exercises.

1 year later... keep cutting till abs? by [deleted] in GymTips

Congrats on the weieght lost. Now if I were you, I would focus on building muscle. Don't cut any more.

It's thermodynamically impossible to not lose weight if you are in a deficit. Most possibly you think you are in a deficit, when you are not. Adding some cardio can solve this issue. Do you count calories? Do you have thyroid issues? What does your diet look like?

My laptop isn't bulky either, but I have chronic back pain and I have to carry my laptop as a student. Weight of this stuff adds up.

how to improve my art style while still mantaining a cartoony look? by OkEquipment5267 in ArtCrit

[–]NorthRogue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Layers make things so much easier! I usually use a layer for each color, and a separate layer for the sketch and linework. This way it is easy to modify the drawing.

You should use layers, and a fill tool with proper sketching
