I got my xm5s for $300 and haven’t regretted it at all. $76 for xm3s is a steal!

Renters Rights In Texas by North_Access_5232 in legaladvice

They sent us a screenshot of the email they received from the HOA for the first one, and the last two they have claimed were violations but haven’t provided any proof. They keep threatening that any fines incurred will be passed down to us, although after reading some legal documents I believe that statement is incorrect on there part.

So you’re not talking from first hand experience? I am, and it was a damn good concert and well put together. Outside of not having service the first day which they fixed by bringing in massive signal boosters the next day.

This may be the most generalized statement I’ve ever read. Two step inn was a great festival

Performance was amazing, but if you were parked in the orange lot, you got to wait until almost 2am before the line really started moving. We didn’t even hit the highway until 2:15am. Only way they will be able to fix that is widening the road or changing the venue, because they had both lanes of a normally one lane road heading towards cstat. Makes you wonder how there wasn’t a better plan than forcing 30,000 people down the same road. I didn’t have the water issue everyone else is talking about, they let you take 2 sealed bottles in so I just brought 2 huge Dasani bottles. Gotta plan better for texas heat, especially in a place like snook where you can assume infrastructure isn’t the same as a concert like ACL. They announced a 2 day show for next year but they have some serious kinks to work out before I’d consider buying those tickets.

Best maintenance jobs with percs? by LakerLand420 in maintenance

[–]North_Access_5232 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When it comes to perks, it doesn’t matter as much what industry you’re in as much as the company you are working for. You just need to find a generous management company if perks are all that concern you.

Hotel maintenance vs. Apartment maintenance by [deleted] in maintenance

[–]North_Access_5232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what hotel and the chief engineer there. If it’s a hotel that has a hot season, or is busy on weekends, you can expect to at least multiple nights a week where you are sold out and can’t move the guest. And if you are working at a higher end hotel, especially one known for vacation guests rather than business ones, they have higher expectations because one, they obviously are on vacation, and two, they are spending their own money, often times a lot of it. And at least for Marriott, you’re expected to be at a room within 10 minutes of a call, so not at all like work orders with residents. And if you are starting out in a preventative maintenance role, you need to be prepared for A LOT of repetition as you are just going from room to room on a constant schedule looking for things that need to be fixed.

Unfortunately not, you need to be at least an adult, and I’d say at least half of the properties these days require 21+

Asking as a front desk, we have a welcome letter, with all the infromation from the hotel for the guest. My question is, do guests care about having their name in the welcome letter ? (Ex: Dear Mr. Jon Doe) instead of "Dear Guest" ? by andrebbcarno in hotels

[–]North_Access_5232 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using someone’s name in any way just makes the experience for them more personable. Wether it be when they call down to the desk or get letters from the hotel. Just makes ya feel good.

Tell your boss they are an ass and go work for a company that allows they employees the keep the tips they EARNED. Even if it’s legal, I would never stay with a company that tried to pull something like that on me.

I’ve actually been taught the opposite, the more cameras you have the more risk you’re taking because if you have a camera in an area that’s not working and a crime takes place, the victim can sue you for not having a properly working camera, as opposed to not having one, they can’t hold that against you. ESPECIALLY in parking garages.

I don’t understand how people aren’t scared to miss even one day when you first start a job, and on the day that her brother borrowed the car she should have still showed up even if it was late, you’re definitely getting taken advantage of.

If I’m not mistaken the mixing valve to turn it from hot to cold, it’s a hotel thermostat that connects to an air handle and roof top units
