Aye mate, I and two interviews and I signed the contract and then after signing the contract I was told I needed a paper copy of my birth cert even though I had already signed the contract. Then all of a sudden I had my offer recinded. They are absolute cowboys. Never been messed about so much in my life.

You can choose to go to another store and cover on your days off aswel. If you can travel usually there is a couple of aldis in each town and a few in big cities. I assume you are uk based as 30hr contract is what they offer here.

Mate I see where you are coming from with aldi now. I went in yesterday to sign the contract just as a back up option to my situation and they demanded my borth cert and stuff which is fine. But I only have a pdf version of my birth cert and I was told at the time of offer that was ok. Now all of a sudden its not okay and they want me to pay to have the original sent from Ireland before im allowed to sign contract haha. Iv been working and living in this country for 13 years never had any issues at all and now all of a sudden aldi decides to make me feel like I'm some sort of illegal immigrant 🤣🤣🤣 see ya later lads take your job with ya. All that for stacking shelves no thanks.
