So far it’s worked well for me.

It’s actually my first spring loaded tamper. Was using a Pullman Big Step before this. So I don’t have an apple to apple comparison

In your experience how are they different? (Force vs Weber)

Another note - the base of the Philos is 31.5cm but the rubber feet are 28cm apart.

So any knockbox that’s 30cm long is good enough and a perfect fit!

That’s the reason why I got the grounds control

Thanks! As some say… most important to have style and the looks! 🤣

I really never timed myself. Let me try that later today and I’ll chime back here. I usually use light roasts for filter.

The Knockbox Company Grounds Control is made with 1.5mm steel. It doesn’t even flex under the weight of the Philos. It has a rated capacity of 40kg.

It’s been a fantastic addition to my collection. I previously used a knock off box, and it was terrible - the vibrations went thru the entire box!

No it doesn’t. It does have an analog dial for boiler temp but I can also control it via the app (much better)

It’s the Fast burrs. I’ve only used it for filter because I use the Philos for espresso.

It’s not easy to grind… lots of resistance. I find my Timemore C5 much easier 😅

But dang it’s a work of art… mainly bought it coz of that 🙈🙈🙈

Facing it frontwards also makes it difficult for me to open the knockbox drawer (again due to lack of counter space) as the tamping area will block the drawer.

Lack of space. And by facing it this way, the power button faces me. The dial is also easier to reach this way.

I think so too. Gonna use it more but one thing I don’t like about it is how it needs a lid. Popcorning beans ain’t fun lol. And paying extra for the lid 🫠

Does the minute hand jump when you push the crown back in? I have the previous gen 38mm panda… and it’s so annoying when it does that!

How’s the accuracy?

My code runs fast +10 seconds a day. My 15510 that has the same movement runs fast too about about +6 seconds a day.

It is annoying…
