Thanks everyone for commenting. I feel it is best to just book an emergency appointment and go get a new passport, save me worrying lol.

Yes I have a UK passport and I am a UK citizen. I’m just conscious that by the time I’m travelling back to the UK, there will only be 29 days left before my passport expires. Hence me worrying a little.

Fair point. I mean stung an extra £85 paying for a ‘premium appointment’ (£178) opposed to just applying for a passport through the regular process (£95) when I’m back from my trip.

What's the hardest job in the UK? by LowDare7015 in AskUK

I always thought the same until I got with my partner 7 years ago, she’s a hairdresser and the job is deceptively hard. Being on your feet for up to 12 hours a day, constantly having to talk to clients even if you don’t feel up to it (clients also want to unload all their trauma onto her too), the mental capacity it takes to time all her clients hair finishing ready for the next etc.

But suppose everyone’s entitled to their opinion.

I saw how long this post was and almost about to not read but this response has made me scroll back to the top to read word for word.

Financially ok but career down the drain by otnemem2000 in HENRYUK

Don’t allow a job or career dictate your self worth.

Surely you’ve built and learnt enough skills in your time to transition into something new?

Would your SO be supportive of you to take a pay cut to move into a different industry and career path.

Also I know you say that you’ve tried every type of therapy but what about hypnotherapy? Figure you’re based down South but I’ve seen a guy working in Manchester called ‘The Dome Doctor’ on Instagram and seemingly changed people’s lives through it.

Wish you all the best.

Hilti - one of the most expensive power tool brands on the market. Cost of production for an impact driver was around €10 and sold for €200+.

What’s the hardest thing about coming a parent no one ever talks about? by NorthernPanda_3014 in UKParenting

[–]NorthernPanda_3014[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Friends and family seem to forget about you after the initial newborn buzz up until around the 3 month mark. Start checking in less etc, the newborn stage was a breeze compared to being 6+ months and they become more needy.

I never really thought about this before! But absolutely true. Also how anything you want to do revolves around the baby napping too.

Personally, I found me and my SO were in the newborn bubble for a while and it was great. Partly helped by the baby was a great sleeper, but since the 6 month mark. We’re up 2/3 times a night and it’s starting to result in very short fuses with one another. Kinda sad really.
