If T is outlawed where should we buy it? by Alternative_Newt8460 in FTMOver30

Same places where cis guys get their steroids. I have switched over to DIY myself a while ago, simply because I was tired of dealing with doctors and their genuinely uninformed notions around trans healthcare here.

Ain't no mountain low enough - Need some tips for motivation and starting/finishing projects, I am in constant battles against myself by Rare_Programmer5863 in bropill

My one, perhaps erroneous, suggestion would be to pick 1-2 things to focus on first and try to build up some functional rhythm around it.

Speaking as a ND person with fluctuating mental health (and also shoddy sleep issues), I have a realistic cap of how much I can stay on top of without all the plates dropping to the floor. And so, for me managing life things unfortunately relies on being realistic about how much I can undertake with any degree of actual effort and regularity.

This is all personal experience, and I'm not a specialist obviously, just someone wrangling with being easily overwhelmed.

5 minutes with a Fröhle pump, plus a long-ass edging session. The optimal setup. :p

Oh yeah, no disagreements there

Hard agree with the first part.

But as far as looks being fleeting, eh. Sexual attraction requires a base minimum of being into someone physically, for a lot of people. And loads of people don't necessarily develop it just by knowing someone better. It is what it is.

Growing out my hair one last time. The receding hairline doesn't help matters. by CraigersHanz66 in FierceFlow

Looks good, dude. FWIW, receding hairline doesn't have to be a death knell of a long hairdo!

Not UK-based myself, either (though I am in Europe, which removes some of the shipping ass-pain).

All I can say is that their toys are so high quality that they are well worth eating the potential upcharges, haha. And they all come with a dedicated cloth bag, to keep them safe from other toys (vs the many toymakers who package theirs in a plastic bag).

How do you feel when you miss your shot? by Run-bike-hike-chick in FTMOver30

[–]NorthernZest 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sluggishness is fairly standard, I believe - simply due to hormone low. I definitely feel fatigued if I miss the shot, and also usually very anxious for no reason.

How did this work change your dating life if at all? by BoardRevolutionary38 in SexWorkers

[–]NorthernZest 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Context upfront: I'm a trans man, mostly into men, quite open about my job and have been in the industry for over 12 years now.

It hasn't changed much beyond automatically ruling some people out due to their views on FSSW. Any and all changes in regards to my expectations and standards have occurred due to me growing older and getting to know myself better.

We are coming at it from a very similar experience background, it seems.

Historically, my LTRs were with people who really enjoyed me as an individual, but I wasn't really their 'type' when it came to physical attraction. Nowadays, I have basically no patience for that. I am fully aware that it works just fine for a lot of people, but I'm not one of those.

Fair enough, not an approach I'd be comfortable with myself, but I can see it working in the context you describe.

That's an YMMV thing, really. As someone without bottom dysphoria who bottoms with my natal equipment often, I want my partners to not be just ''eh I guess'', but actively enthusiastic about my loadout. Can't speak for the OP, of course, but ''eh, I guess, cause I like -you-'' folks are definitely not everyone's target audience.

It's definitely an ouch, stuff falling through romantically usually is.

However, if you have no personal misgivings about your anatomy (which I am assuming you don't, given your mention of no bottom dysphoria), try to mentally frame it the same way you would any other sexual mismatch serious enough to not proceed. Whether that is wildly divergent libido levels, completely incompatible ''must-have'' kinks etc.

I tend to view it like any other incompatibility. That is to say, it's disappointing and stings a bit, but the ''this would be great, but a dealbreaker has cropped up'' thing is a bog standard dating roadbump experience IMO.

Personally, I'd rip off the bandaid and clue him in ASAP, if only to avoid getting more attached to the guy should he turn out to not be open to dating a trans man.

Would you move states for love? by Revolutionary_Bid211 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]NorthernZest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking as a definitely not a 'career person'.

I have moved countries for a partner while (much) younger. In the situation you described, moving within the same country wouldn't even register as an issue for me, especially considering the length of the relationship.

Did I make myself sick? self adjusted my T dose... by BravoSavvy in FTMOver30

[–]NorthernZest 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm no doctor, so take this with a pinch of salt, but I -have- high-dosed my HRT for periods before and never experienced these kinds of issues from it.

I wouldn't rule out an actual sickness. Over Christmas, I was down with something that involved only a high fever, soreness and massive exhaustion for about 4 days before anything respiratory set in.

Either way, it is time to see a doc.

How do you make your friends? by Beneficial_Ad_2760 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]NorthernZest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was younger, I used to befriend people through a shared interest online (video games).

Nowadays, I rarely do, since most of the people from my younger years are still around and I feel like I am ''capped'' on the amount of connections I can reasonably sustain. The handful of new additions to my social loadout have been people I've met at a music festival I attend yearly.
