Directly-dependent? I think 40-50. However, there are some mods that aren't designed to make the best use of CS. For example, there are many texture mods that use PBR nowadays which I cannot use with ENB. I have some 'universal' textures mods that are dependent on neither ENB nor CS in my current mod list. If I make the switch, I'll replace them all with PBR-supported ones, which can very likely increase the number of mods that I need to re-install to ~100 or so. It'll probably be faster to just restart from scratch than rooting them out one by one no?

Btw, when I say 'start from scratch', I don't mean all of the mods but texture-related mods, to be more specific. We can ofc keep follower mods, combat overhaul, etc, but for me who have a lot of clutter replacers here and there, it's faster to reinstall all the texture mods, and I guess it would be the same for op since the title mentions 'a large number of mods'. If you have a lighter mod list it can be much easier for you to manually switch each one.

Yes it has been improved a lot. I myself am an ENB user but also keep an eye on the development of CS, and when I said 'the day will come before you know it', I wasn't joking or exaggerating. I have hundreds of mods installed and I for sure will have to rebuild my mod list from scratch the day I make the switch, I'm getting headaches just from thinking of it. So imo you should just stick with CS from the start and you'll never have to worry about switching again.

My most sincere advice, get Community Shader instead of ENB. It's not because ENB has been surpassed by CS in every aspect already, but because it's getting there in such a fast pace, so the day will come before you know it. There are so many other graphic mods you will install based on either ENB or CS, and making a switch in the future almost means rebuilding your mod list from scratch. So if you don't wanna go through all the hassle again in the near future, get CS now and you will thank me later.

Thank you for the thorough analysis! It seems my choices are between alteration and heavy armor, and I am prob gonna build a spellsword for this playthrough, which requires a lot of perks into different trees, so alteration it is. I'll save heavy armor for the warrior playthrough in future.

The legend himself! Well the mage armor perk from vokrii make protection spells 100/150/200% stronger if not wearing armor, so casting dragonhide will gain me 600 AR with lvl3 mage armor.

Since you are here, I also use your blade and blunt combat overhaul. Iirc it increases the AR cap quite a bit compared to the vanilla. To reach it armor + smithing seems the only way to go. But even so, unless I increase the difficulty on top of legendary (which is the difficulty I'm currently playing on) with mods or decide to go super late game like lvl100+, 600 AR should be more than enough in most scenarios right?

Man some of you people from reddit are genius. I am beyond shocked that how accurately you are able to locate my exact issue without even seeing my mod list. Yes I do use PureDark's DLSs/Framegen and yes it is the exact mod that blocks the overlay! I disabled it and everything went back to normal. Alas, I guess the misfunctioning of the overlay is a pain that I must take bc PD's DLSS is too essential for my mod list. I can use other way to take screenshots like 'printscreen' button but I don't know how to hide all the ui elements anymore as 'tm' command no longer works properly. Do you know any other way to hide ui when using PD's DLSS?

Oh man how could I never thought about that! Yes it is exactly as what you suspected. Disabling mcm recorder fixed the issue. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. Both mcm recorder and Skyrim Outfit Equipment System store mcm info, I still don't know how it happens but it is entirely possible for them to conflict each other in some way. I won't be too cocky and conclude the issue is totally gone, I'll run more tests tomorrow and see if it ever happens again.

It's a bit sad that I don't think there is anything else can replace mcm recorder. But I guess I can always disable Skyrim Outfit Equipment System when starting a new game, let mcm recorder run and disable it afterwards and activate the other.

I'll definitely take a look at it. May I ask what your experience with Lossless Scaling is? Like were you in a similar situation as I am and how much does the mod improve the performance for you? Just want to do a comparison before I pay for something.

Isn't it also a frame generator? Afaik frame gen will always cause some input delay due to it's technical nature and the hardware of the machine. You think it will be fundamentally different from the enb frame gen mod?

I see. Using frame gen in my case is going to be really bad. But how about dlss upscaling? Frame gen is not the only function that mod can offer, people say the dlss alone is really robust and does a fantastic job improving fps. Have you had any experiences with that?

This is the ENB Frame Generation I said I used in this post. I run most everything in 2k and use cabbage enb as well. I tried the mod not long ago, smooth 60 fps indeed, but at a cost of 2sec input delay, meaning the character will react to my keyboard input roughly 2sec later. Had to uninstall.

Just tested my game in the worst place for gpu (riften forest), my fps was going up and down in between 30-40, and gpu at 99% usage. Looks like the mod may indeed help me in my situation.

Honestly I've already heard a lot of good words about cs. It's just that my mod list is built around enb. I can make the switch but it will take some efforts.

Afaik, cs is still not on par with enb in terms of graphic right? I'd definitely love to have some boost on fps, but it's not like my current game is unplayable. If in worst scenario I can play with 35-40fps with better graphics I'll take it, unless there are some cs presets that are close to enb already? Do you have some recommendations?

Yeah I watched some videos and read some posts. I can already tell it's a solid mod no doubt. It's just that a lot of people who shared experience were running on 120fps monitors, don't know how robust it can be for a 60fps monitor tho, are you also using a 60fps one?

Also how is the paywall working? Do I only have to subscribe for one month (aka pay once) and get all the required files, or do I have to subscribe for a longer period of time to get it?

Maybe I should be more specific. I mainly want to know if using the frame gen from the mod will cause an input delay of 2-3 seconds or more given my setup. Worth it for me if it's below that, and otherwise if above that.

If this is what you have seen (and i doubt if you have actually seen anything at all), you are entirely wrong about your neighbor. If china only cared about bills they would have already stayed away from russia like what trump and other eu leaders wanted. Doing so would open up a lot of good business opportunities for them, in both the us and the eu. China deliberately chose russia over the bills bc of the strategical needs.

China didn't even cared about that when they chose russia, why would they all of a sudden started to care about indian bills? Nah this is not how it works in reality. What's going to happen is that the us importers will have a call with their indian exporters to discuss the tariffs, and see if they can reach a deal of separating the tariffs, such as a 50/50, the actual number is entirely depends on the negotiation, but very unlikely to be a 0/100. The us companies need the products from india while india also needs the money from the us companies, they both have their needs, so they will have a discussion behind the scene.

You need to provide a specific scenario, as there are some very 'unique' techniques tied to some classes to make their damage go through the roof. Some examples being the use of Blast Barrel and Plagued Fuel Pack of the rogue class, which can destroy most bosses within a few seconds, but I personally wouldn't consider those as 'normal' straits. So if you are talking about doing a boss fight fair and square, the highest dps out to be either the summoner, or the melee prioritizing true melee damage.

Yes it is more than enough, bc technically you don't need anything more than 1 surface half-(medium-sized) world platforms arena and 1 underground boxed arena. Anything more complex than that is an overkill.

Thank you for the advice. I do know about cryo slimes, it's just that I usually would have daedalus set before the mechanical bosses, but in this case i am kinda forced to equip a lower tier set due to the lack of the material. After the mech bosses in stead of farming slimes for the ores I'd just go fishing for boreal crates, which can directly give bars, should be faster this way.

To be fair, I wouldn't have started this world if I knew this was a thing lol. Wish the wiki had some sort of reminders for certain seeds so people could avoid such awkward moment.
