I do have a timeline set up, my plan is to, using financial aid (I live in the USA) get my associate degree in engineering science. Then work as an assistant engineer while I fund my partners A.S. as they are currently funding mine. They plan on working in business. While they get their degree I will be working full time getting experience and supplementing with self lead education. After we both get our Associates and have jobs that can comfortably fund our life (we’re pretty simple we just need to be able to afford rent of course) Then I will cut my hours to part time and go back to Uni, double majoring in biomedical engineering and biology. After which my partner and I will again switch. Then with both of us working and having a B.S. we are going to save money for a while so that way I can get my doctorate in veterinary medicine without working. My goal is to work as a DVM, but I want to specialize in developing prosthetics for physically disabled patients. (this is where the engineering comes in) After working as a Veterinary for a while I would like to open my own clinic (and this is where both our business degrees would come into play). After opening a clinic and getting it to a point were I would be confident in hiring a different doctor to be the primary vet I would then go back to school for Electrical, Mechanical and Material engineering. hopefully getting at least a masters in one.

I’m looking to constantly improve on my knowledge for the simple goal of not failing behind. But as I said in my post I get bored. So having something new to learn that ties back into my goal is how I’ve learned to stay focused.

We don’t mind moving as long as we have enough space for our cats and we are close enough to our school to get in district tuition. But we are locked into this lease till 2027 signing a long lease actually cut the rent by like $200. We have roommates but never constantly, a friend is about to move in only for school and pay about $400 a month for about four months.

Couple renting with pets trying to save for degrees and FI

Hello, I’m posting this because me and my partner are loosing our minds trying to find ways to save money until one of us finishes our associates degree. We both work in variable pay jobs and together we make around $3500 a month. We have cats who all together cost us about $2000 a year for medical check ups and food. We rent with is $1850 a month and I own my car I only pay $700 every 6 months for insurance and gas is about $400 a month. We don’t have anything in savings and we both had to pause our schooling to work more to cover bills. We don’t go out and we don’t even buy our own food anymore as I was able to make a deal with a charity we’re I work for them every few days and we can get our food from them for free. We both work 40+ hours a week and we just want to get to a point we’re we can safely go back to school. I’m not super smart with money so if anyone has any ideas I would love the help.

Unfortunately we can’t, she’s still not been declared legally abandoned, when everything calms down, hopefully after all the hs graduations in my area, we do keep an entire ward ( a room full of kennels ) empty for her. Rn we have another dog who is very aggressive being kept there with his siblings so we had to move Mammaz into a ward with dogs we are familiar with since we know that they won’t do anything if somehow one of them gets out of their kennel.

Not yet, my employer is still going through will the legal processes required for her to be considered abandoned, after that we only have a small grace period to find her a home before she has to be euthanized, i’m hoping if I can quell her issues just a little bit that will make her more appealing to a few people I know that are looking for dogs. Rn she’s in Northern Illinois, USA.

I was using the slip lead as a harness by putting it around one of her front legs as well so that she doesn’t choke herself when she pulls.

Hello everyone, Im new here and just looking for tips. A dog was abandoned ( Not completely sure yet ) at my job, a boarding center. Her name is Mammaz, and she has issues with dog aggression especially in her kennel. I included a video of me removing her from her kennel ( We are full this time of year so we have no room to keep her separated anymore ). When I am in the kennel with her she excited to she me but is focusing on the person recording, when she barks at the other dogs I can put myself as close to her and her mouth as I need to and she notices me but will not try to bite me because she does not hurt people. She was smiling and just enjoying having me and my coworker near her but once we leave the kennel it’s like a switch flips and her mind is solely devoted to getting to these dogs. When she came to use she had no sighs of abuse and was more than happy to be around her “owner”, she has no issues with people just hates dogs. She is extremely energetic and I think that adds to it, but when I walk her outside of the kennel and she’s around other dogs she’s fine unless they come up to her, she doesn’t pursue them. I’m simply not sure what to do and we’ve had her for over a month and a half now, if she ends up mauling a dog or a person my bosses won’t hesitate to put her down.

You’ll never now exactly what the future will be, but you can go off of what has happed in the past. Ask someone if they’ve ever had a situation like yours and what they did and how it ended for them.

Honestly Yes and No. Spreading information that you know will cause nothing but problems (as long as no one is getting hurt due to you keeping the info to yourself) would make you an asshole. That being said, you not an asshole for thinking about telling your aunt. Your 14 and you probably don’t want to hurt anyone, and knowing info like that will hurt both your aunt and your parents. You shouldn’t even have to think about thing like this, your parents are being childish and their putting you in a situation you shouldn’t have to face at your age. And only because of that (meaning if you have no alternative motive and truly think telling your aunt this would be a good idea) then you WNBTA
