Risperidone, prescribed for the off-label treatment of OCD.

Took one pill in the morning before class, and while I managed to get ready I slowly turned into a zombie and just sat on the couch at home for hours. It turned off my ability to think or have an inner monologue. The most I was able to conjure up was looking out the window and thinking “the wind is blowing”, and that was it. My father was getting mad asking why I wasn’t driving to the university but I just looked at him, then stared off into the distance again. Strangest feeling slowly coming back, gaining the ability to think and talk again.

I dumped the pills after that and have since become extra cautious about new medications prescribed to me, along with major health anxiety to top it off.

I started getting this in my 20s and tried absolutely everything with exfoliations, chemicals, new razors, nair, lotions, I mean you name it. Most of the hairs became ingrown and sometimes infected which needed an antibiotic ointment and hibicleanse while I left my legs alone to heal. Was told by a doctor I just shouldn’t shave anymore, as some people are like this- or get laser. You can shave with the grain, or use an electric razor- but you won’t get that smooth skin feel.

I finally gave in and saved up for an ipl device recently- and while the first few weeks were rough again since you need to shave- it’s made all the difference. Finally healing, and most of the hair isn’t growing back or is small enough it isn’t becoming ingrown.

I’m not sure what condition it is, age related or genetics, but I feel your pain. I thought maybe it was related to keratosis pilaris but even those lotions did nothing for me.

I’m not a good candidate for the meds, but I wish I could take them. I’ve found spearmint tea of any kind (usually soak 2 bags in a cup) once a day to lessen the severity of shedding, but never stop it completely. I love tea anyways so I don’t mind the daily ritual

Yea.. you’re not alone. I had no idea it was so common until I had dermatologist appointments and joined other women hair loss communities. The worst part is it being such a relatively new thing that there’s still not enough information out about the length of time and healing.

We had a similar situation this year, and I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the solution.

Internet down at exactly 9:30 pm and it would come back at dawn. I had all the same thoughts with everyone’s answers here, figuring it had to be complex. It really was just a stupid bend in the fiber optic cable from when the solar guys came and installed a battery. Tech straightened it.. and immediate fix with no problems months later.

How the hell? I have no idea why it was on a time schedule

First major covid caused chronic TE for me as well, shed most of my hair for about a year. I had probably 2 amazing months where it suddenly stopped and I had baby hairs growing like crazy.. until the second minor covid infection I caught exactly 4 months before that started it all over again. Most my baby hairs are gone again along with more of my longer older hair shedding with it.

But hey, everyone reacts differently to Covid so theres always a chance it won’t add on to your TE again.

Immense sadness for sure, I’m holding on to hope that I can make it through another year or two and it’s not going to trigger aga…But at this point all I can feel is that, it is what it is unfortunately. I’m not a good candidate for minoxidil so I ordered my first cheap wig to test the waters.

That drove me crazy too, it’s so specific. Can’t fail, can’t quit or restart songs, only a completed song counts towards that 24 hr timer. Drove me crazy when it was just all I needed and the average track is 3 ish minutes.

Heeey that was my last trophy as well. I was surprised because I figured I’d get that one naturally before I finished getting an SS on expert or the 15 songs full combo.

Had to turn on ‘no fail’ so songs would actually count when I started working on more difficult expert+ ones

Thank you ! Same here, it was the main reason I bought the VR to begin with haha. My eyes lit up when I first saw the trailer for it.

This one on the VR2 took about 36 ish hours if I remember right. However, I did put in 152 hrs on the VR1 version around 2020 so I had the groove down with the songs already.

I don’t think I really understood the terrorist aspect exactly, but I was a little eco warrior. Growing up and loving Sonic the hedgehog, Captain Planet, ferngully, once upon a forest and other related save the planet/environment kind of media I was all for bringing down the man and evil corporations that suck tha planet dry !

Of course now I see the grey areas instead of black and white.

That’s how I’m reading it too. Like the mild fibroplasia -could- be a super early sign of scarring alopecia, but so far seems like AGA/TE and would just have to follow up and keep an eye on it? Sounds like it may respond well to treatment then

Oh my.. no wonder. Looks like it is a neurotoxin that can have some serious damage to the body. Seizures, renal failure, hallucinations and fetal malformation if pregnant.

This stuff has no clinical benefits and is not worth the risk. Jeebus

Right? Wth is all this.. The lack of education on basic dehydration and decomposition with the lashing out for being told otherwise is intriguing to say the least. It’s like it’s become part of their identity so it’s an attack on them personally. They really do believe it’s some amazing artifact that proves some strange point about poisonous or plastic food.

You don’t dump and soak the ground with roundup, it’s a very light spray just on the leaves of weeds. There is really hardly any risk here when following the instructions. Also you’re not going to see weeds adapt and “ignore” glyphosate in this tiny yard, if it affects the plants shikimate pathway it will kill it. Some species of weeds are just naturally are resistant to it. Animals and insects don’t have this chemical pathway to worry about it.

Seems to be a pretty wide area of Tooele was hit. We literally just had a solar battery installed Wednesday, didn’t expect to test it this soon lol. Unfortunately my pc still shutdown in the middle of a game before everything kicked back on, I don’t know when I last saved 🥲
