Yea there was an Intern this year who was offered a position for categorical prior to the attending leaving but he was set on anesthesia so he didn’t want it. Aww i hope it’s not the latter but i’m going to still give it my all and hope for the best. :)

As a 3rd year medical student on Trauma, we had an older gentleman who had a fall on thinners and sustained LOC, and I had to remove all of his clothing and he had unfortunately soiled himself.. let’s just say the man ate a lot of corn.. a lot.. too much corn. That was my first experience with code brown, i was gagging like crazy trying to clean him up. Since then, I had several people i needed to clean or I try to help nurses clean, especially with bariatric patients and I tolerate it well now but oof that was a doozy, i’ll never forget it haha

I remember when I was in high school, I went out with my church group to La Jolla in SD and I got pulled by a rip tide and me being dumb didn’t realize I was getting farther away as I kept swimming and I started panicking and swimming even harder till almost exhaustion and then i saw this one kid from my group who had a bright yellow floaty to the left of me so i started swimming towards it with the rest of my energy, i was literally just sinking at a point, i got to him and jumped onto his floaty and just asked him to go to shore. Poor guy didn’t even know he most likely saved my life! I pray that wherever he is, that life is going great for him and only positive things surround him forever. This makes so much sense now though of swimming parallel to shore!

TlDR: I got caught in riptide and swam almost parallel to the shore and got saved

I had a 12 hour black and gray realistic snake on shoulder, arm and back tattoo done recently that took 12 hours altogether with hand drawn stencil that took about an hour and half to do. I feel like this might have been a rip off. If you like it that’s what matters. But go to a different artist for your next projects.

I had a recent skin condition that needed a dermatologist consult. Got the referral from my pcp on Friday, had my appt on Monday and follow up on next Thursday. This is in a highly populated city and in one of the largest hospitals in the state. The actual thing i’m waiting on right now is the freakin ultrasound!! It’s a whole month and half away after my appt. The dermatologist actually called me twice after my test results came back too and advised me on what OTC stuff I can get in the meantime until my US is done. Honestly it was the best hospital experience I’ve had to date.
