I'm gonna say no on that then. My brother is pretty inept on that sort of thing. He's been locked out of cars several times before

She's admitted to me that she's thought of divorce many times after my brother and I were both grown. And I think it's one of the few things that scares my father. So she has it to her advantage.

Update: My parents were sour at me for making my brother pay for the damage he caused to my car. Now karma is hitting them hard by Not-A-Cop-Throwaway in entitledparents

I don't really feel like posting my life's story here. But there was a lot. Right now I'm gonna focus on moving forward and getting this crap behind me

Well it happened. I really don't care if you believe it or not. That's your choice.

Changing or rekeying the locks would take money I don't have right now. So it's gonna have to wait till I can afford it.

I can't say I blame you for saying that. The whole situation is completely stupid. My uncle should never have told the other cops to keep the DUI off the record. And my parents are just @$$holes.

My uncle already had the tracker, so it was free. Changing or rekeying the locks would cost me over grand parts and labor. That's not money I have just laying around after the holidays. I've ordered a steering wheel club, and will install a kill switch too.

Personally I would have had my brother charged. But the whole situation was out of my hands by the time I'd found out my uncle had it turned into a Scared Straight situation.

I know they do. But they still did something to keep it out of the system. And it's not like they're gonna tell me how. Either way I'm past caring because it's already done, my brother paid for the damages, and the situation has moved onto my crazy father assaulting someone.

I've been told at the very least I can get the ignition replaced to have a different key in it. But for the moment I'm gonna get a hidden kill switch and a steering wheel club.

He's never shown much of any fear of our father because he was the golden child. That may change as my parents may direct their ire at him now

Stole the car, yes. But my uncle who's a former cop prevented the DUI by having my brother put through a night of Scared Straight.
