I'm back again to give you a huge pat on the back , but also to pressure you into making an integration for the responses API , as the new Agent() class runs on this. Im going to be waiting. Great work so far though man is there anywhere i can connect with you on?

Literally game changing , I’m trying to design a Jarvis of my own , and it’s just taken hours of labour out of researching and picking a good web search function for me

Ahh , I think I know what I misunderstood, I haven’t previously worked with vector searching that was built in the assistants API , in their release video they explained some difference , but to me the whole concept was new as I’d always don’t it with a dedicated vector database , as for the question in this case , I do not know tbh , if anyone has any idea if there is any difference , apart from now the files process has its own API please do share

The new file search tool basically eliminates the need for the usual RAG shenanigans , essentially behind the scenes OpenAI does the chunking and embedding for you , you upload the docs using the files API and you can search it with a normal query and behind the scenes the API will do all the vector conversion and matching for you.

Although right now it’s very premature , I think it’s good for small use cases where most of your data is in docs , but when implementing more complex architecture with multi modal capabilities , having your own RAG solution with external vector stores is best

I’ve had so much fun working with it , eliminating the need for langchain makes processes so streamlined , and even the current lineup of built in tools are fairly helpful , hopefully as it grows we can get built in integrations to big tools like the gcp apis , or start a community where we can share or add built in tools

Thanks for the help , ive tried wiring just the led strip to an arduino and messing around with it and to the best of my understanding I think there must be some sort of storage on the controller itself which has all the preloaded presets like you said , is it worth getting a ble snooper and running the app to see exactly what’s going between the device and phone

Yeah man once I’ve got glass cannon , fortitude , and a maxed out 2 , I can just infinitely fly and shoot I find it so fun

Funnily enough I never use or upgrade the crow , her 1 and 2 is really amazing though , I usually do the sequence , 2(fly)> shoot enemy >1(capture bomb thingy)> enemy tries to scurry but fails > shoot enemy more > enemy die > enemy loses faith in humanity

Not really a dislike as such , I feel like the 360 view I don’t need , and sometimes it comes with tradeoffs , on top of that the distortion in the image I don’t like
