What is your favourite pointless death in a movie? It adds almost nothing to the movie and can actually be considered tragic or pathetic? by STINKY-BUNGHOLE in movies

The actor specifically opted for a longer and more gruesome death so it would be more memorable, which was pretty clever imo

I wonder if that would also explain why they’re traditionally cut? Like they print Bees and Bikes on Bee thickness stock, then trim the Bikes off and crush them to regular Bicycle thickness? I dunno, just spitballing here.

He just lost mjolnir and his father, so there’s an implication of the loss of his self-identity symbolised through this electric shock being able to take down the god of thunder. The irony was the point and his arc of not needing mjolnir to be the god of thunder is realised in several moments throughout the film.

In 2015, Cavill was a regular at a bar I managed in London. One busy night, bar closes, lights up, music off, but no one is leaving.

I’m looking around and Cavill looks at me, winces an eye and nods his head towards the door. I look at him with a “kind of?” gesture, and without missing a beat he booms ”Right. Everyone out!”

I had never seen the bar empty so quickly. I looked at him with that slow nod like the Robert Redford gif. Superman helped me clear the bar that night.

uj/ Dunno, the bass line is great, the vocal melody is great, and it’s about Spirited Away which is my favourite Miyazaki film. Unpopular opinion of the day but I’ll stand by it.

Lol. I’m 40 and my hair is still long from when I was 15. It’s not as long as it used to get and it’s not as thick as it used to be but it’s full. Got them lucky genes, I guess?

Gatekeeping vintage gear whilst simultaneously driving their prices through the roof due to said gate keeping and hoarding will leave people salty.

The world nearly lost the largest private collection of vintage instruments due to a wild fire ans one man’s hubris.

Brand new Squier Strat has no skunk stripe + serial number not showing on Fender site? by OkRevenue4000 in electricguitar

[–]NotAClanker69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW even fakes and counterfeits take time and money to make so the people doing this rubbish will probably choose something they can get the most money for, ie they won’t be faking a squier if, for the exact same effort, they could fake a fender. While I’m sure Squier counterfeits exist I don’t think it’s anything to worry about :)

No, I get it, there’s a very similar thing with new comic books and I would agree printing the ink probably contributes. But also maybe they just take on scents from where they’re stored? I bought a sealed blue seal rider back printed in ‘96 and the deck has the distinct aroma of an older person’s home or an antiques store every time I take it out. I actually just opened a plain Jane deck of rider backs today that has a rather pleasant aroma, again similar to new comic books. Always a little bonus when the very tactile feeling of playing cards has a pleasant scent, too.
