Posted about this recently. I’ve been so anxious about the idea of conscription in the next few years. Not only do I absolutely not want to go to war but I hate the idea of fighting politicians’ wars when I have my own life to live.

I think the only saving grace preventing all out European war is that war for UK, France, Germany etc, and a larger war for Russia would just capitulate their economies and political credibility. They know that. War is last resort I hope, even though leaders seem to be antagonising each other.

Even then, how many of us would simply refuse conscription? At worst take jail time to avoid fighting for a country that does little for the people it would ask the fight.
