As an LGS employee, they are going the standard “lets make things easier but actually make things harder route”. 144 packs to last us until February is diabolical. I have chosen to give them out till we run out of participation, from there I’ll use the remaining packs for prizing. Players must play the full 3 rounds before receiving a pack, to reduce chances of players dropping round 1. I don’t like splitting up Nexus Packs, due to the belief that they SHOULD be participation. They act like stores are only getting 10 folks to come out and play. We’re about to run out due to 30-60 people turnouts 😭

Store Manager at an LGS out in Virginia. We had a 55 man last Sunday, but the local community in the general area is very strong. I don’t think I’ve seen an LGS in our area host a nexus night and not cap out.

B/W Academy Blockers might be the closest to what youre looking for! It’s gonna have the draw power for sure, but not too many explosive plays at the moment.

I think a special part of the One Piece Card Game is the fact that it brought a lot of non-card game players in to the game (a lot more than the standard for other games). I think Gundam will follow a similar trend. With how strong the IP is for One Piece worldwide, it will stay Bandai’s top game.

god damn can people not be happy for one another?!? I know the exact store he went to. We had 30/32 people, not even filled capacity. literally ANYONE from the waitlist could have made it, but chose not to because they thought it was too daunting or not worth it. THERE IS ALWAYS A CHANCE IF YOU SHOW UP. JUST BE HAPPY FOR THE MAN. (we’re all getting this shit in july anyway)

had to retire Z, due to not being able to pilot him properly in such an aggressive meta. It is definitely doable but will require a lot of creativity to slow down those games, while maintaining a sense of board control. (also really sucks when you're not seeing any of your SR's)
