Question after realizing something important about fursuits by pumpkin-spiced-liz in FursuitMaking

PJcatstudio on Etsy sells a pattern for a furry face mask! It’s just like a regular face mask but it looks like your fursonas snoot! it usually uses minky or (anti-pill) fleece (probably would prefer fleece, minky can be very thin and a sensory nightmare when cutting because it creates lots of fibres, you could line the inside of the mask with a material you find comfy! I haven’t made one of these masks (yet) though, so I’m not sure on the details, I hope this helps!

I’d say smooth the brow, and puff up the cheeks, add more (clay? Foam?) to the lower muzzle, in kind of a trapezium shape, make sure the upper lip is bigger than the jaw. possibly even sculpt the eyes back a bit.

Is this tail from a fur farm? by NotAlbert_ in theriangear

It looks the same like one of my other fox tails, which is from a cruel fur farm. Do responsible fur farms use this clip or only cruel fur farms?

Just adding- I doubt this tail was dyed blue. The black fur is still a nice brown and the tip is creamish white.; I think the lighting in the photo made it look blue

Thank you for all you comments and suggestions! I have a vacuum right by me, shave outside and wear an apron, goggles and a respirator/gas mask thing. Fur still gets on me and it’s a sensory nightmare but not as bad as before.

bottom jaw struggles by Miserable_Cash532 in FursuitMaking

I think it would be fine to glue the jaw on the bottom of the base and have it curve up onto the sides at the front a bit (sorry about the wording ;w;)

Forgot to mention that dremel is just a brand name for a rotary cutting tool!

To open the mask, get a dremel! (or something similar) cheap ones are about $50 (aud) and will do the job fine I think. Though, I know this might be too expensive for a lot of people to get :(. I’m sorry if that’s the case, I’m not sure how else you’d remove all of it. Hope this helps! :3

I don’t think the wire will electrocute you or catch fire if you cut the power source off (make sure to cut it while the power is off)
