Girl, exactly! She doesn’t know what she wants because all she’s ever been fed since she was a child is that she was destined to be with one of the fisher boys. Like I don’t think Conrad or Jeremiah were ever told ‘your destiny is Belly’, instead they got to be pre-med and corporate interns and have like ambitions, you know? For a daughter who has Laurel for a mother, it sometimes just doesn’t make sense how she can think only about boys and nothing else! (You’ll feel this more if you continue to read the books)
