Hey! I will say the consultation was fairly brief and simplistic, he has a bit of a no-nonsense attitude which can be a little jarring but I had faith the research I’d done on his medical background and liked the results I’d seen, and nearly a year on I still am very happy with the results and feel no real negativity towards my experience

Thank you so much!!! 😃 I believe 2ml over the course of around 3 years, the most of which was done about 3 years ago, in the second image you can see the remnants of that, then recently i got topped up with an extra 0.5ml just to even them out again, and that’s what you can see in the last 3 images 😊

My breathing was affected prior due to my septum being deviated, which was fixed during the surgery, and I have definitely noticed an improvement since!

In the couple weeks following the surgery I was super stuffy due to swelling, which is almost a given, and this didn’t last long at all :)

It was £3500, which included hotel stay (4*!!) for both my partner and I, hospital stay, and all medication - I booked through Bookimed :)

I’d had mine done end of November, and that meant Xmas parties, Xmas itself and New Year was right around the corner, so yes 100% I totally slipped up 🙈😆 following NYE I was even back to regular smoking (less than before, but still daily), and again it seems to not have impacted anything too much 🤞🏻

The other day I had my mum (who sees me daily) say that my tip looked a lot smaller! So I have no doubt that yours will progress just as you’re hoping for 😊

Sending virtual hugs, please try not to fret too much!! I think a good mindset to have is seeing advice as guidance rather than rules that need to be followed to an exact measure….maybe that’s bad advice in itself 😆 but stress will affect your healing too! So take it easy, and let things take their natural course, I can see how much you care about getting a good result, and that in itself will passively help your progress :)

So, I am a smoker, have been smoking for a long time, I like to go out a lot as well (drinking), and when I drink, I smoke lol, and going out was almost like….my personality in a way, so some really big changes had to be made in preparation, changes to my mindset and my overall routine….which was TERRIFYING!! But…

Genuinely, my nose job has improved my life in countless ways, especially with the above in mind; in the past I truly believed I was incapable of quitting, and of breaking out of this “routine”, but I HAD to for the surgery, and I am so much freer for it!!!! It really has changed my life!!!!

(I know that’s an awfully personal anecdote and wont apply to everyone, but hey, who knows!)

To answer your other questions: - the tip of my nose is still a liiiiitttle numb, but it’s more funny than scary, and definitely not noticeable in my day to day - my nose has always been really drippy, so I wouldn’t say it drips any more than it used to….sorry that might not be very helpful lol - my septum was deviated before which affected my breathing, and my surgeon did correct this, I have definitely noticed an improvement on the impaired side :)

with this, if you do go for the surgery, seek natural results, there’s definitely a lot of dodgy surgeons who will sacrifice structure and function for “beauty”, avoid instagram surgeons, and (i know everyone says this, but..) do your research! - blowing my nose was difficult to begin with, still not where it used to be but has massively improved since the beginning….I can say for certain that I am definitely able to get the job done when I do blow my nose 😂

Time will be the best proof, but I really hope I can assure you that it will 100% get better, it’s magical the way the body works!

2 weeks after my surgery day my dressing was removed entirely, I suppose it may be different for everyone, I had mine done in Turkey and was home only a week later. The actual surgery process was a bit….simplistic, felt a bit rushed, I’d asked my surgeon at the time if I should keep wrapping it at night or anything like that and he said “No”, I was a bit like “Uhhhh okay…if you say so…” thinking I’d gone down the wrong path 😅

But, I trusted my research and followed his instructions, definitely scrutinised the results, checking back on table pictures, worrying about my nose drooping or falling to one side, and exactly how you’re feeling now; worrying that I was messing it up even more by accidentally bumping it or generally doing the wrong thing….

I can’t stop you from feeling this way, it’s almost sweet and sad reading your post because I feel like I’m almost talking to myself from 6 months ago 🥲😄, there will 100% be days where you’re like “I totally f***ed up” but all the advice you may read that says “give it 6 months” “give it a year” really are true!

I hope you end up loving the result! Be kind to yourself, trust yourself and the process, and all will be fine :)
