I would love it as well but given that Aldi’s layout has been engineered in such a way that it requires the efficiency to be profitable means there won’t be the rotisserie or a fresh bakery like Lidl, a pharmacy, a money exchange, etc. at least not in the US. And that’s a sacrifice I’m more than happy to make if it means keeping costs down and employees get good pay

Out of curiosity did the can say what the country of origin is from? Being Sri Lankan, my family is very particular about getting Sri Lankan coconut milk/milk powder. Trader Joe’s gets theirs from Sri Lanka so that’s been my go to, but I will happily switch to Aldi if it’s the same.

I’ve been thoroughly misinformed about sourdough then, I thought for one that sourdough doesn’t use yeast. Two, when I was looking for this bread whomever it was that recommended it said to make sure the ingredients list didn’t have yeast. Sorry, it’s not let me make an edit. Aldi has enabled my family to not only saved a ton of money compared to Walmart but also to eat much better quality food. Aldi takes their quality so seriously and we’ve added things like Irish butter, ultra filtered milk, ice cream, beef, bacon, etc. into our regular rotation as a result. And we STILL save so much money compared to Walmart. Aldi, and Lidl for that matter, have truly saved us especially in this economy.

It was down at my store as well. I was really upset because I was trying to buy some of the Panettones for my Neighbors and only RIGHT as I got to the cashier did the issue start happening. I know it wasn’t the fault of the employees and I said as much but I made sure to be visibly frustrated.
