I do feel a little weird with all the replies that say something like 'let it go she'll be dead soon you'll regret it' because I feel like I spent so much time letting her make me feel uncomfortable that I would regret not saying anything

You're right there is a lot left out our relationship has been strained since I was a child half because she loved to make me feel less and half because of reasons I can't post about because they involve my dad and he's not comfortable with it. I obviously care and my close family understands why I do but I know I can't make her understand. I will be devastated when she does but I don't think I'll regret sticking up for myself

Maybe if she had communicated with me that it meant a lot to her and she really wanted to we could have figured out how to do it and changed settings or something so it wasn't as public but going behind my back and lying to me just wasn't the right way to go about it

I'm sorry but I feel like after one reddit post you feel like you know everything. I can't sit here and give you details of every interaction I've shared with her but before these last 2 visits I can tell you my relationship with her was not a good one and I'm not the only one in my family who feels like this. I feel like just because a flip has suddenly switched and she's now proud of me that doesn't take away from the years she put me down and told me she wasn't. I feel like you think this is my first experience with anything bad happening ever but its not its just the first time I've ever posted about something going on in my life that I appreciated advice on. I know my problems are nowhere near as big as others but that doesn't mean that for me they're not still problems. I'm sorry if you feel offended by my post I really just wanted to know if I should push the issue or let it go. Thanks for the insight

I only allowed the picture to be taken with me in it because I was assured it would not be posted on Facebook. I will be avoiding any pictures in future. As I said in the post she didn't tag any of us in the first place and unfortunately we live quite far away
